Looking for the best price on the 1019 GC memory card

I probally need one, too. Too many games coming out on the GameCube that I'll need some more memory since my 2 cards are 3rd party and I'm sure that they'll stop working soon.

From what I've seen, the price is fairly standard everywhere.
Some people in the gamerush thread mentioned that you get +50% trade in on all accessories, so depending on what the trade in for a 251, you may be able to get a decent deal that way (considering that the 1019 cost only $10 more than what the 251 costs new.

i have a 57 memory card with nothing on it (got it with animal crossing), so maybe ill take it to gamerush trade it in and pay the rest how much do you think ill get off???

had an idea, when i get some cash, ill buy the new memory card 1019, transfer all my stuff onto it, which is about 320 data, then ill take my other memory cards and trade them in for some cash towards a new game.

$24.99 at BB with the GGC. I kept my two 251s and the AC 59. trade-in for 251 is around 7-8 dollars; rather keep it.

edit: i forgot to mention, some files can not be moved or copied, so i 'had' to keep at least a 251 anyway. Example, F-Zero GX & Animal Crossing.

Just remember that no matter how large the memory card, it can only hold one Animal Crossing save file, and that that file cannot be transfered.

I haven't played Animal Crossing in quite a long time. I wonder if the weeds have infested my town yet?

The Nooks will only sell one item to you now: a lawn mower. :p

Also you can't copy Phantasy Star Online I&II data (and I assume III, but I haven't played it) to prevent duplicating items.

dam, well i made some space and my 251 card is filled with no extra space, so when i get a new GC game ill buy the 1019 card, do the transfers and see what couldnt be transfered

I'd be interested to know what else besides AC, F-Zero, and PSO can't be transfered. Did you have trouble with anything else?
Wasn't this thing 10 bucks at TRU not too long ago?
Ugh...Don't tell me that.

Was it? I can't remember uf I tried to scan it or not. I know I tried to scan one of them but since it was in a plastic case, I couldn't get a scan...I guess if my TRU isn't wiped out Sat. Then I'll try it.

Another brilliant move by Nintendo to not allow you to transfer saves. Almost as bad as them releasing only a 59 block card at launch and the card not being able to hold both Japanese and US game saves at once.

"Was" or "is?" If it's currently $10 at TRU, I'll go get one right now and return the unopened one to BB.

I should mention that everything on my card transfered without a problem (except Animal Crossing, which I have on the included 59). That includes:

Donkey Konga
Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles
Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee
Kirby's Air Ride
Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour
Mario Kart: Double Dash
Mario Party 4
Metroid Prime
Paper Mario 2
Pikmin
Pikmin 2
Rogue Squadron II: Rogue Leader
Rogue Squadron III: Rebel Strike
Star Wars: The Clone Wars
Super Mario Sunshine
Super Monkey Ball 2
Super Smash Bros. Melee
The Legend of Zelda: The Four Swords
The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker
The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King
The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers
The Simpsons: Hit & Run
Warioware Inc.
X-Men Legends (each save game slot is a separate block)
