Probably the best blu ray movie to date will be free for the first 500k euros who sign up online!

Phenomenal incentive" offered to early adopters
Sony has announced that the first 500,000 consumers to register their PlayStation 3 on the PlayStation Network after the console's European launch will receive a free copy of James Bond film Casino Royale on Blu-ray.
Sony's Darren Carter, VP of brand and consumer marketing, described it as a "phenomenal incentive" for consumers to sign up to the console's online service, which allows for free online gaming as well as downloadable content through the PS3 Store.
"Casino Royale not only makes the most of the features and capabilities of the Blu-ray format, but is one of the most exciting and entertaining movies to debut on Blu-ray this year," Carter added.
The film will play back in 1080p resolution, having been encoded with the MPEG-4 AVC codec and stored on a 50GB, dual-layer Blu-ray disc, offering consumers a chance to sample one of the console's unique selling points - its high definition Blu-ray movie playback.
The platform holder implemented a similar scheme for the North American PS3 launch, offering Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby on Blu-ray with the first 400,000 units sold.
PlayStation 3 launches in Europe on 23rd March.

I hate euros more and more. Their release si going to be so much better than ours. Borat, Casino Royale, God of war 2, and 300 all in one week. going to be so amazing.

Cry me a fuckin' river. The movie comes out on BR in 4 weeks, and you've had the chance to play the PS3 for going on 3 months.

Buncha goddamned bitches.

Still, ANYTHING would have been better than Talladega Nights. That movie is just...bad. It's not a big deal to me though since I don't even have an HDTV

Oh, it wasn't that bad.

Besides, y'ain't going to get "City of Lost Children" or whatever y'all art geeks want instead. Keep in mind the nation that Sony's catering to with "Talladega Nights." I suppose one gripe I have (hypocrite!) is that the included movie was a bare bones version of the film, and a "uncut and extended" version of the BR came out a mere 2-3 weeks later. fuckers.

NORBIT is the #1 movie in the nation right now. I think it's safe to say we did it to ourselves, man.

That said, Casino Royale is my most anticipated BR release. I own 8 movies at the moment (counting TN), and I will not buy any that are over $20. I may make an exception for Casino Royale, however.

Europeans get Casino Royale free, Americans get the PS3 4 months early and a choice of a cheaper 20GB model (which is not crap in any way, unlike the 360 core). Who's the lucky one there?

Unfortunately they also have to pay a premium over us for the system. With the difference that you saved from not being European, you can easily buy Casino Royale when it comes out.

I agree wholeheartedly. But I still think we brought this on ourselves.

I hang my head in shame as I repeat: Norbit, dude. NORBIT.
