Madden 07 Reviews & General Discussion

Isn't this one developed from the ground up for the 360? It's different than the current-gen versions.

Anyways, the game is good...I still need to play more, but I'm waiting for rosters and fatigue fixed.
 
So does anyone when the downloadable jerseys and teams are coming and if they cost anything?

The hints tell me I can get them now buuuuut... they aren't available.

Actually, the Lions roster is a bit of a mess...but, that won't be resolved until final cuts are made anyways. I just hope they are ok by then. EA better put out a opening day roster....they already screw up on FATIGUE.

Also, apparently when you import NCAA rosters, the players age 4 years over the pre-season. People are saying 21 year olds are 25 after 1 season. Also, some player got YOUNGER also...what a mess. I want to know who tests the games....

Still a fun game, but it seems the glitches are piling up.
 
Hmm, anyone ever get stuck in the Yearly Awards menu?
I finished a season, proceeded to offseason, then went to go look at the Yearly awards, when I couldn't exactly get out of it. It's like my right trigger was pressed and the only thing I could do was move the weird menu deal left to right.
Odd.
And I'm sorry if this has been answered before, but where's the QB Vision option?

And is EA going to release a patch? I love stats but I'm afraid to check em...there's a pretty high chance it'll freeze.

The ones you get with your superstar, I Got Rushing yards in a game, rushing td's in a game, and rushing td's in a season, all with 3 games left in my first season.
 
Has anyone had the play call screen not come up?

I have played about 20 games and it has happened once. There was about two minutes to go and the play call screen never came up. I got a delay of game penalty and then it came up. I ran a play, it didn't come up. Got a penalty, it came up. Scored a touchdown, kicked the extra point, and then to kickoff it never came up so I was just stuck there with the camera panning around the stadium. I had to press the Xbox Guide button to just back out and go to the dashboard.

Madden 06 did this to me once in a while as well. This first time in 07 was particularly annoying, though, because it was the last game of the season and I had broken the season rushing record. All that work for naught.

Yes, I was playing against my friend and this happened. Unfortunately for me he was kick my butt and there was only a minute left so he was okay with getting a penalty after every play. It may have happened twice to me all together, but I'm not sure. I can only remember the one instance of the top of my head.

All that work for naught.[/quote]Wouldn't surprise me. Damn NCAA locks up on me every single fucking time. I can't make any fucking progress in Dynasty mode and I'm sick of exchanging discs. I don't give a damn at this point if it's a faulty disc or a faulty system. It shouldn't happen either way. Not at this rate. Shit. I've got on my hands a $60 coaster.
 
Anyone have the HOF edition. Mine works fine for like a week then it will star freezing. Even when EA HD comes up that stutters. I'm on my second copy. Should I bring this one back and get anther? Its def not my 360.
 
Wow. So I havent really been playing on Live. I usually only play with friends though because if I do a quick match I get stuck with the 9 year olds or the quitters. I decided to play a quick game and get the achievemnt. I was dominating a game with about 2 mins left in the 3rd. And the game losses connection I get a loss and a DNF. Thats some crap. I could see if I quit but lossing connection thats garbage. Not that I care about a loss or whatver its just stupid to me. And I always seem to have problems with losing connection in Madden but any other game on Live is fine.

in superstar mode do you have to watch the plays in which your player isnt in? Like I want to create a rb. Do I have to watch the defense play and sit thru the whole game?
 
It does go by in "fast forward" mode though, when a play is over it'll send the players back to the line right away and time goes by about twice as fast as normal.
 
Well im on my thrid disk and right out of the brand new case it still stutters on the EA HD part. So far no freeze or nothing but I'm starting to think that if it does and I keep getting a new disk it is not going to help.
 
I wouldn't worry so much about the EA HD part of the intro stuttering. I get that as well and I've had no in-game lock-ups, unlike NCAA. Anyone else care to comment?
 
Mine does the little stutter thing through the EA HD intro screen as well. It stutters for a fraction of a second about half way through its whoosh-sounding thing. Other than that I don't think it has frozen at all. NCAA used to lock up pretty frequently for me but it hasn't in quite some time. Oblivion on the other hand...
 
Just got back from my friends playing this game, he scored with 35 seconds to go, I come back and score to make it 63-61. I was Seattle he was New Orleans, both RB's are unstoppable, especially Alexander, just pitch right, highlight stick and your gone.

You aren't using edited rosters with all the names on it by any chance have you? And have you been taking pics all throughout your Dynasty for your photo album? It's really getting quite annoying that I can't get through a single game.

No edited rosters or photos here, just playing a regular dynasty.

I use edited rosters, and take lots of pics throughout the 2 dynasties that I have and have never had it locked up on me. Knock on wood.
 
Does anyone hate Superstar mode? I think the playcalling is terrible and I just think the mode itself is broken. My QB makes the worst decisions ever.

Playcalling is horrible. I am having fun with mine though I'm a 6"8 420 pound right guard and I usually get two pancake blocks a play. I love pulling to the left on sweeps.
 
The line is about the only place I could think of where the atrocious camera angle wouldn't hamper the gameplay too much. How is it as far as achievements are concerned? There can't be too many. And does it get stale at all after a few gaming sessions?

Go to your agent's office, then You'll see options like tell the press whatever, and one of the things there is demand a trade.

I think there are SS mode achievements for multiple postions. So to get them all we are going to have to play a lot of SS and at different positions.
 
One thing that drives me nuts is the way people quit games online when they're losing. So aggravating. It's not like I'm that great of a player, either, my record is 0-3. I could be at least 3-3 if people would stop acting like babies. I took a 45-3 waxing at the hands of the damn Texans without quitting. Someone has to lose, so get over it. /rant

Other than that, I'm enjoying the game...it's hard, though. I definitely need to get better at choosing/dissecting defenses.
 
I'm having a hard time having fun with this game. Franchise and Superstar are lackluster (at least Franchise is for now); my only fun has come in playing online against CAGs. So if anyone wants to play, send me a Friend Request, if I wasn't in the CAG league I probably would have traded this in by now.

I looked for it there but it wasn't there. On another board they said it doesn't work in the preseason so after I played one I simmed the others and it still isn't there. o'well, fuck it. that mode is fucking boring.

Yeah, EA needs to get a roster update out and fix the fatigue issue. The game is good, but I cannot touch it until they fix these issues.
 
I think someone from EA posted on a board....6-12 days possibly for rosters. I know they have to go through MS certification process...which is like a 2 week process (which is a problem MS should get resolved soon).

We still need a patch for fatigue also. AND Alternate jerseys
 
i have a stupid question: can i play with more than 2 people on one 360? I saw on the back of the box it says 1-2 players but when I select a team with my roommate, there's more than 2 controllers there to be used....yeah dumb question i know..
