Madden 2006 Roster Update Problem

Hi,
I just picked up Madden 2006 for Xbox. I have repeatedly downloaded the roster updates, but when I go to load them, it says the file type is "damaged save" and won't let me reload them. I have tried several times on two different xboxes and still get this message.

Any ideas?

its an EA Sports game....what do you expect....they are all trash....
 
Well, since there are about 7 roster updates available on-line, I expect that there is some way to actually use them...
