Madden NFL 11 for $40 bucks

Here is how you can get Madden 11 for $40 dollars:

1) Go to Best Buy and ask them to price match the current deal that is up on Walmart's website. Walmart is offering a $20 dollar gift card for a purchase of Madden 11.

2) Reserve the game for $5 (also comes with a free copy of Madden Arcade)

3) Wait til August 10th to pick up the game. After the $5 dollar reserve, you still need to pay the rest of the total (something like $58 dollars).

4) After buying Madden 11 on release day you will be handed a $20 dollar gift card for Best Buy.

5) Return your copy of Madden 11 and grab another one off the shelf.

6) Use your $20 dollar Best Buy gift card and there you go!

Eh, I'll just order from Amazon and use that 20 dollar gc towards Assassin's Creed. Better than all this hassle.

Tempted to do this for the free Madden Arcade but I'm pretty sure it won't work.
I don't think Best Buy price matches prices online and if they gave you a gift card with the game, wouldn't you have to return that too?

I agree, I dont think they will price match anything online (in fact I dont know anyone that does), even if they did it would be highly YMMV. Also, if you get a gift card with a purchase of something you typically have to give that back as well or minus it from your return, unless you get lucky, again being YMMV.

Yeah be ok if there was any possibility this would work. If you gave them your receipt... wouldn't work. If you bought it with your reward zone account and returned it.... wouldn't work. Maybe if you could do a gift return.... but I don't know what their policy is there and sorta borderline return fraud.

Why not just buy it at walmart or amazon and use the gift card? I mean who can't use 20 bucks on another game?
