MadWorld 26.99 used @ Gamestop!!!!

And for another 3 friggin' dollars, you get a copy that no one's gotten their dirty fingers on (just make sure it's sealed, since this is GS we're talking about).

Or you could get an edge card, printout the 20% off Wii game coupon and get this for $19. Most people's hands aren't $11 dirty.

...and one of the copies sitting on their shelves for this price is mine. Madworld might have a cool graphical style, but it's overshadowed by mediocre gameplay, short length, and way too much unnecessary cursing by the announcers who are foul, childish, and utterly annoying after about 2 minutes. Fail.

If you have a Wii and want something edgy but not off color, I recommend No More Heroes, not Madworld. Just my opinions.
It has been $26.99.
No, it hasn't.

This has been one of the weirder price fluctuations. On the last day of the previous Wii 20% off coupon, it went to 26.99.

Then, right before a B2G1, it went to $44.99

Now it's back to $26.99

It's also not just a matter of wrong price stickers. The price on the GS website has shown it's gone down, then up, and now down again.

I'll be getting one tomorrow.

Its $27 so with the coupon[if its still up] and edge you should be getting $8.10 off aka $19.91 plus tax. not bad.

actually a bit less.

$27 * .7 = $18.90 + whatever your local sales tax is

nope
its
27 *0.8*0.9=19.44 w/tax

I was going to grab this for a birthday present for a friend, so this makes me happy I won't have to spend as much.

GS apparently had a ton of price drops also. Deadly Creatures is $18 used as well now, but I will be waiting until the B2G1 to pick that one up.

And Edge has always been taken off the original price, as are the coupons, so a 20% coupon with the 10% Edge card discount is 30% off the ORIGINAL PRICE. It's not 10% off the new after-coupon price. I don't want to have to scan my receipts to show discounts but I will if I have to :p

This kind of price fluctuation happens with House of the Dead: Overkill as well, which coincidentally is also $26.99 as of now. I think it's a sega thing.
that kobe pic is sexy and yeah im a female but is madworld worth the 18.xx i paid for it today?
i rmb no more heroes dropped to $9 in thanks giving, if you could wait, i think that would be the lowest it could be?
but for me, these kind of game gets old too quick, you could just buy it now and sell it later, or goozex it ?

great game great price!

Uh, my receipt shows it as $18.89+tax, but if you want to pay more for it, be my guest. ;) :) Of course if you really meant w/tax and not wo/tax, then I guess you got yourself a deal. Either way I don't quite get your math. It's 26.99-(26.99*0.3) + tax.

As for the game, I played it for a couple hours last time I had temporary possession of it and it was fun, but I agree with the other person about the announcers. The language used in the game is pretty stupid - it doesn't really seem like it fits, and it would have been funnier had they just talked like Sportscenter announcers do now. It's just there to make it seem more "edgy" and forbidden. I'd still like to finish the gane some day, though, as it was fun.

Of course! I buy MadWorld and House of the Dead OverKill when they're both $44.99, but maybe I can still return / rebuy them with the Wii 20% coupon... I hope!

I've seen this debate many times. I have piles of receipts that proves otherwise.

Gamestop always combines promotions, their POS doesn't take one percentage off and then another.

For coupons it's always (Coupon % + Edge % = total % off of value of game).

Yes, this works in our favor and not theirs. This also isn't unique. Anytime they have a deal of the week the edge % comes off of the original retail price and not the sale price -- yet another time where their POS works in our favor.
