What up Cheap Asses (and Assettes),

So, at the beginning of last month I got all uber hype about being a part of [this competition to raise $10,000 in one month's time.] Well... that ended up being a lot harder than the gnomes in my kitchen made it sound. Plus half-way through the month school started giving me a good ass kicking, and life decided to drop an occational elbow on my face. I only made it to $435.

Now I've regrouped and I'm planning my attack. I can't win the competition, BUT I can be a part of getting a computer lab built in India (which will make me like a karmactic bajillionaire, I'd break you guys off with some.)

The project I chose is at the bottom of [this page].

What I'm looking for is ideas on how I could go about raising the funds. Perhaps one of you holds the key to making this happen (or getting it closer.)

One thought I had is if I sold 1 or 2 games I didn't play anymore and donated the money from that, then encouraged others to do the same (even if it was only like 5 or 10 bucks, that'd be totally FRESH if a bunch of people did it.)

I had this other idea where if people made donations in chunks of $40, they could buy a sqaure on this page: http://16thousanddollarhomepage.com/ (my web design skills != the new hotness.)

Anyhow, thought I'd see what CAGs would bring to the table.

Note: I'm working my first 3rd shift shift. Pardon spelling and grammatical foo foos.

I don't really trust organizations like this. I am Indian and I go to India frequently and I donate money when I am there. I don't like going through a middle man.

Good luck anyway with getting this done. Hope it works out.

Wow, that's pretty awesome. But I think you should shoot for a school instead of a computer lab. Yeah, technology is useful but general education should come first.

Something like this seems a lot more worthwhile than the Child's Play thing that Penny-Arcade does. CAG could easily get a couple of thousand together, if we all pitched in that is.
