I just put in a 500gig HD and loaded a bunch of everything on there. The ps3 just organizes it in whatever way it's supposed to and it sucks. I think I tried everything but it seems ps3 won't let you make folders or rename the folders.
For example, folders named july, august, can not be renamed.

How do you organize videos/music/pix when you have ALOT of them? I tried pressing square triangle select start. Nothing works and it seems impossible.

go into the information on each specific file (press triangle on the file, then choose information), there will be a line that you can edit the album name. So if you want an album of like all PS1 Games, edit the album name "PS1 Games" on each PS1 game you have.

After that's done, sort all files by album name.

It'll take forever if you have a lot of files, but that's how I sort stuff in custom folders.

really? I swear i thought i had tried something like that. Thanks, I will try it when I get home.

What about creating folders? Sub folders?

that's the only way to create folders. You can't create sub folders. Once you edit the album name in the information of each specific file, and choose sort all by album name, you'll see new folders with the album names you entered.
