I'm going to be spending a lot this weekend... So much so that I've decided that except for PC games and video games $10 or under I am done for the year. Here's my list....

Tales of Symphonia - $35 at Target
Thrones and Patriots - $10 at BB
Otogi (used) for $15
Splinter Cell PT Xbox Used for $20
Paper Mario, Phantom Brave, Burnout 3 at TRU for $100
Kingdom Under Fire - Retail for $15 (buying it off my sister who works at BB)
Tempted to get X-men for $35 at Target. Currently holding off but the will is week and I have to pick it up by Saturday for this price.

If I get all this we're looking at $215 dollars. I have enough games to play after that. Everything else I can wait for. Hopefully I can get Fable and Halo 2 through the retail site. Other than that, I am done. I have too much work to do and too many games to play already...

I know how you feel, I spent like 70 bucks at BB this week (six copies of Fire Emblem and one Sonic Advance 2) then to top it off the TRU sale is this week.

well.. Halo 2 isn't hitting until 1/3/05 on the retail site. After GTA:SA, I'll have my two copies of Halo 2 (one's a copy for my cuz), then maybe two more games for free via trades, then i'm done..

but I definately know what you mean by this fall being rough.

Aside from a few good Black Friday deals I am done after the TRU sale. That is not to say, I do not have my 53 dollars ready to pick up Metal Gear Solid 3.

TRU sale just starts me off, there are like 5 novemeber releases i must have like gundam battle assault 3 and the inuyasha game

Why are you guys going to pay $50 for MGS3 after what they did to us with MGS2? On top of a crap storyline, half the game wasn't even played as Snake.. I mean, come on. I would so not trust them.

Because I am in the minority. I really liked Metal Gear Solid 2. I have played that game though around 10 times over the course of the past two years.

What, you mean making what is still one of the best games on the system? One that I've replayed more than any other? If they're going to do that to me again, I welcome it. The story in 2 was hilarious, and the fact that you don't play as Snake in the second part of it did nothing to change how much fun the game was.

Yeah, I shel;led out $36 for Half Life 2. But Totalling everything I've probably spent $400-$500 including tthis coming weekend on games...

I spent $20 for the GTA DOuble pack. $23 for Ultimate Muscle (Which I'm having a blast with), $10 for RoN, $20 for Fire Emblem, $20 for The Suffering, Kill.switch for $10, the UFc Tapout for $8 (if it actually ships), Twin Snakes for $18.

Pretty soon we'll be talking real money :)
you guys are insane, all these games will be cheap enough soon enough
The only other game I paid full price this year was the Twin Snakes. I do not mind paying the full 50 for another Kojima masterpiece

one game is fine(and what a nice choice ^^), but to be buying more than 2 or 3 games priced over $20 is just ridiculous.

There are so many releases, both games and dvds, in the next month and a half, that I very well could be broke and having to pay for a car.

I can agree with you on that one.

I plan on picking up three 30 dollar titles at TRU to get for Christmas(Onimusha 3, Mega Man:AC, Gradius V), but I still have a ton of sealed CC games that I need to play

I have to get Onimusha 3 as I have the sword and I am ready to start slicing up demons on Christmas Day

Yeah, I need to cut back a little too. I'm stopping at Halo 2 and Half Life 2. Oh, and I'm also ordering GTA:SA from VGD. Oh dammit, R&C3 is coming out soon. Ah fuck it, who am I kidding. You win capitalism, here's my wallet.

The one game out now that I would consider spending more than $20 for is Tiger Woods '05. But I don't think I'd go as high as $35. If I could get it on a Driv3r rain check this week I would, but apparently no subs on that one. (Plus I checked a few days ago and it's still in stock.)

I don't plan to crack even for Halo 2, but I'd never say never.

same here. the only games I've paid that much for are rare and/or import Dreamcast or Playstation games. most I've spent in the last year on one game was $75 on a brand new limited edition Border Down for Dreamcast. since that was half price and it regularly sells for more on eBay, I decided to go for it. I almost never cough up more than $10 for current-gen games, GBA excluded.

from TRU, most likely I'll grab:

$30: Gradius V, R-Type Final, and maybe Front Mission 4, Street Fighter Anniversary Collection, or Toca Race Driver 2/Colin McCrae 4 bundle.
$20: Guilty Gear X2 #Reload, Katamari Damacy, and some XBox PH game, thinking of DOA 3 or Return To Castle Wolfenstein.

Exactly, you guys are not cheap at all. Your all a disgrace to the cheapass name.

Yup, it's gonna be a busy holiday season. Some games I think I'm just gonna wait on till they drop in price while others I'm picking up the day they come out (i.e. Metroid Prime 2) . I'm hoping for the TRU sale to pick up Star Ocean, (I was planning on Paper Mario 2 but Fry's had about the same price on it so I jumped on that instead since I couldn't take it any longer), Tales of Symponia (might just pick this one up instead at Target since I know it's an incredible game), aned probably Shin Megami Tensei. Also I want to see what this Black Friday that I keep hearing about is.

There are only three games, (not including the TRu deal) That I'm paying over $25 for. Tales of Symphonia, Xmen (and I'm really on the fence about this because I can see it beign $30 really quickly) and HL 2.

Last month I picked up Doom 3 when it was $35.

If you look at my purchases this month, my average price per game was $16.50. Also, my worst discount is 30% off retail i think.

That's pretty damn cheap. I'm cheap, just not poor :p
