I just got off the phone with Media Play. Mario Kart: Double Dash has gone out of print as of 11/9/04, which means that it is in the process of becoming a Players Choice game. It will probably resurface soon as a $29.99 PC title.

Now if Target will do their 14.77 thing again...
You want to hear something funny. I thought that the PC the OP was talking about was the one that I was currently typing on.
Dont feel bad..I did too.
Does this mean the Gamecube fanboys will stop saying Halo isn't exclusive because its on PC?
Mario Kart on the Personal Computer would have been awesome, online mario kart.... drool..........

Sigh..

Anyway, it's a fact, to the best of my knowledge, that all PC games are now 19.99.

But I've had this game so long that it doesn't matter.

i think super smash bros is still 30 bucks

All Player's Choice titles have an MSRP of 19.99 and all future ones are to carry that price as well. It was in a NOA press release.

Then why is Super Smash Bros. Melee 29.99 everywhere?

I don't know why Nintendo would put MK:DD on the computer....but I guess playing with a mouse and keyboard and net play will enhance the gameplay a ton. Yeah. :)

Just to stop the confusion taking place in this thread and clear things up:

PC= Player's choice as in value game like Greatest Hits, Platinum Hits, NOT Personal Computer.

I'm not sure if some of you were joking or actually thought it was comming out on the PC.
Super Smash Bros. Melee is 29.99, and is inelegible for all $14.77, 2 for 25, etc. deals.
Really? Glad I got mines last year during the black friday sale. But I believe it was 2 for 30 at eb.

I got that last year too. I think ths year they said it has to be $19.99 or below.

Do you think that the gameplay will be better with a force-feedback steering wheel? I'm almost positive NOA would make it steering wheel compatible.

Do you concider it bad because the control isnt the same as the old 16 bit versions or because the new style dosent play aswell as the type of racing they changed it to would suggest it should?

MK:DD is the best mario kart if u dont count the multiplayer could it be that hard to make better levels?,u guys should go play MK64 again and see if u still enjoy it, i know i didnt, and i hope most the ppl were jk about the computer things
Mario Kart DD was the worst Mario Kart... and this is coming from a huge fan of the series :censored:  :ziplip: :-({|=
I disagree. I loved the N64 version (I still think it's the best) and honestly after the first hour or so I didn't think DD was anywhere near as good. BUT after putting in some serious time with it (unlocked everything and lots of multiplayer races) I think that it more then holds it's own with the N64 version, tracks are just as good, lots of driver variety, cool specials, and good controls.

I love them all. I enjoyed 64 the most, but that's because I only got to play Double Dash for a week.

Horrible attempt at being funny.

I just didn't find the track layouts in MKDD to be all too appealing. I'd get it for $20 though.

I loved them all and must agree with jimbodan. After putting in some time in MK: DD I must say that it is as good if not better than 64. And I stll love 64 to this day. It is one of my favorite games still for that system.

MK 64 was best for single, a few good multiplayer ones, but SNES is great both ways, but the multi is the greatest, I love jumping over things and missing the shells.

The best version was hands-down the SNES version. The tracks are perfect and beautifully made, and there is such balance to the game. The N64 version I have had the most fun with, but that is only because my friends who I played it with refused to play the graphically inferior SNES version....but the SNES version is the best by far.

Right now I cant stop playing Mario Kart for the GBA, so Im worried that once I buy the Gamecube version I wont be able to do anything other then play it. :)

uh...reviving a thread, so i didn't need to start a new one.

i was driving around and thinking about picking up a copy of nfs:u1; (sucker for racing games), so decided to stop by BB.

i found a new copy of mk:dd w/bonus disc today during my lunch hour at BB for $9.99 (santana row, san jose, ca). no kidding, sku # is 6163689. it was the only one on the shelf though, hidden behind other games. imagine my surprise!

anyway, BB took their copies of TMNT:2 BN (GC version) out of the security boxes, so it may be due for a price drop soon.

Best Buy is the bottom level of hell.

I bet the game with be $30, because MK: DD and SSBM are like the two best selling games for the GC. Plus Mario Party 5 is still some crazy ass prize even through the sequel is out.
