Both have been on sale randomly at Family Video rental stores at $29.99. In store only and YMMV obviously since it depends on how many copies the store has and how they rent.
Otherwise, look for Gamestop/EB Games 10% coupons and stack with an EDGE card to save 20%. Not many real price drops or deals on these games yet.

There's gotta be at least 10 people in the trading forum that have Mass Effect for trade, including myself. Although I'm not really selling, I'd bet you could make offers to other people to buy it.
