Good plan. Except that unless they've changed the B2G1 coupon to include games at all price levels, that coupon caps off the games at the $39.99 level. So you couldn't buy three new release games for $120 plus tax.
 
These are not the droids I'm looking for. Own ncaa, ac:r, and BF3, and the usb drive is a total ripoff over $10

Nothing for me as far as games to keep. For flips however there might be something I could do. Bestbuy had ass creed for 19.99 a few weeks ago so that could happen again. Better than last months coupons but that isn't saying much lol

I was wondering about that coupon. It says "Buy two, get one free" on new games (console or oc) valued up to $39.99. So I can buy 2 $60 games and get a $39.99 one free, right? The back of the coupon says the free game must be of equal or lesser value.

Nope. The $39.99 price is the MAX price for any of the three games. So you're paying about $27 a game if you grab 3 $40 games. Not spectacular but not too bad if you use it during a major sale, since those coupons also stack with sale prices just like the @Gamer ones from the mag.

I know because I used my B2G1 on Assassin's Creed Revelations, Need For Speed The Run and Rage on Black Friday. After coupon I ended up paying around $20 a game for some games that had just come out not too long before that.;)

Thanks for the info, I really do wish the cap was higher. It is not that often three games I want drops to 39.99 at the same time.
 
If it was a $30 limit I'd be all over this, $40 ehhh not so much. Paying $27 a game even after savings isn't very temping to me. As a CAG I refuse to pay over $20 for a game haha.

Huh? $39.99 is the max. You can use it on games lower than $39.99.
 
I've been waiting for NCAA 12 to drop. Kinda cheesy that the $40 coupon is off the original $60 MSRP, though. What are the chances of NCAA 12 going on sale during May? The March deals were kinda sweet with coupons stacking with sales on a couple of games (Arkham City was one of them, I think).

The good thing is that The Darkness II is already at that $39.99 pricepoint. So you could buy that game and two other $40 titles(even the multi game bundles count as long as they're not over $39.99).

So you could buy the Uncharted 1&2 bundle, the Resistance 2 pack and Darkness II and get 5 games for $80.

Well, that's kind of a kick in the nads. Not always easy to find 3 games at that price point. I guess it saves me some dough short-term, but it definitely narrows the selection down.

My thoughts exactly, I'm guessing the highest payoff is to buy immediately when a new title drops to 39.99, and if there are no other games to buy, buy multiples and sell 1 or 2 on ebay to lower the price of the one to be kept.

I don't understand.. Assassin's Creed Revelations is currently 30$ at BBY. Why is the coupon 20$ off at 60$ MSRP? Are they raising the price back up to 60$?

$30 is the sale price for this week... just like 95% of most sales, it ends and goes back to normal price.

I get it, but what exactly is "normal price" if you don't mind me asking? Pretty much every store has this game for around 30-40$ so it's kind of a kick in the nards for them to advertise a "coupon" to get the game at 40$ when I can get it cheaper today, in their very own store.

Can we expect them to do another sale on AC:R in May? That may sweeten the deal..

Yeah, the April issue was solid if for nothing else than you could easily sell the Kid Icarus cards for $5+ to pay off part of your GCU membership.
 
I haven't even gotten my April mag yet! I better get my may one, hoping AC:R will go on sale for at least $30 again.. include the coupon and that's a great deal!
 
Definitely hoping for a NG3 sale, might make for a good deal, especially with the $10 coupon that BB sent out which I've been holding on to..
And although I haven't payed more than about $8 for a sports game this gen (only have about three), if NCAA gets a sale or drop, I might just bite on that if the price is right.

Darkness II? That'll be available for $10 in a month or two the way its selling. I ended up getting 2 games to trade back in and something I actually wanted. 2x Tiger Woods on sale (1 x 360, 1 x PS3) and the Metal Gear Solid HD collection w/ coupon for $84. Traded the Tigers back in immediately for $76, sold the online passes for $10. MGS HD free + a small profit to cover gas seems better than picking up some questionable games just because they're priced to fit the coupon.

The 10% off Digital Gaming Coupon (up to $14.99) worked for me on a $10 PSN Card today. Got a measly $1 off but it was better than nothing. It is sorta ymmv since it required an override from manager but the manager agreed with me in that he couldn't think of anything digital gaming related you can get in store except for the gaming prepaid cards.

We'll see what happens. I've assiduously avoided trading in more than one of anything for any given system, which is what seems to be the thing they're really looking for. The gaming rep was a bit confused at first, but once he was chill once he caught on to the fact that I was getting a free game and he'd be getting a nice boost to his daily stats.

I did the B2G1 with Black Ops for 360 and PS3 + OoT 3DS and traded them back instantly a few weeks ago and didn't get banned for that. While being banned would suck, I'm a pretty small problem compared the folks who were doing 6x each flippable game before the policy change and hope to fly under the radar.

FWIW, I asked the rep about the 1 per system limit and he said that corporate changed the policy because it makes it easier to comply with pawn shop laws and makes the program more consistent across the nation, not trade in abuse. He may have just been talking out of his [REDACTED].
 
Another shitty issue. March was great, but I'm beginning to think I should have only purchased that issue.

Hell. I even used my B2G1 from the welcome packet on three games on BF, two of which I traded back in to them within a week of buying them(Rage, NFS: The Run). Of course, that was a good idea, since I eventually ended up getting at least Rage for $5 with the March coupons.

Were you caught up in the multiple copies for one system dragnet, or is their loss prevention group's software picking up on quick flips, too? If I'm going to be banned, I should go out with a bang and flip a crap ton of MW3's.

Even if they do go active early, the coupon is $20 off. I doubt the system will process it since it means BB owes you a penny. The 2 nearest BB is also oos of this item for me.:whistle2:(

When there's a better influx of titles hitting the market these will find their way into the mags & then the game quality increases but since so many release during the same time frame it kinda works the wrong way.

Also, they're doing the $10 of less games right now w/o coupon DNF & Disney adventure

works for me. its exactly what it says- 50% off the mega pack, so its 49.99. u click redeem this offer, and then a pop up window shows up with some sku info and whatnot. says to just have the clerk scan your rz card and the discount will be applied. pretty sweet deal if ur into skylanders.
