Maybe someone can help?

I recently switched my internet connection from dial up to broadband, and now I can't load www.gamefly.com. I rent games for my son from there. The only section of the site that I can load is the FAQ. If I click on anything else it says done, but the page is blank. I tried deleting Temp. int. files ect, but that does not seem to be the problem. I disabled the broadband, connected via dial up, the site loaded, and I was able to log in. I then disconnected the dial up, enabled the broadband, and still was unable to browse any section of the website except for the faq. I am using internet explorer version 6.0.2900.2180 with windows XP (not that I think that it matters as I can load the site using dial up). I did contact my ISP and Gamefly but they sent me canned answers.
Thanks for any ideas!

Hmm well I have noticed this before, for a week or so Google would never load on one of my computers. I am not sure why but it does. Try at least updating to the newest version of IE 7 also. Other then that I am not sure what to do.

If I were you, I'd be on the horn with your broadband provider. If you were able to access it before, and now you cannot their company's phone tech support should help you fix the issue.

I can still access it on dial-up, but it is a pain and it is so slow. It has to be something to do with the broadband. I dislike calling tech support, but I may just have to. Below is the response they gave me after I sent them a detailed email. I then had to tell them that www.gamefly.com was not a game but a webiste to rent games. :) Thanks for the suggestions.

The game may require a public IP address or specific ports. We use private

As usual, tech support is useless.

If it were me, here's what I'd try as a start:

1.) Hook up another PC to your router (just borrow somebody's laptop, etc.). See if GF loads.

2.) Cycle power to your cable or dsl modem and/or router. Just turn them off, wait 1 min, and turn them back on. This should force you to get a new IP address and may resolve other issues.

Let us know how it goes... and if you have any questions.

You can also try bypassing the router entirely and see if it works then. If it does then it's definitely router related (most likely outdated firmware). I've encountered a few issues similar to this and bypassing the router usually fixes the issue.

We are using a router, and we have three computers running off the same router and none will load Gamefly. I will try your suggestions this evening. I never even considered the router. Thanks, I will let you know what happens.

I disconnected my pc from the router and hooked it up direct. Gamefly still would not load. Then I tried the other suggestion of turning off the router for a few minutes, but that did not work either. I guess I am calling my provider.
Thanks for all of your suggestions. I never even thought of the router having an issue. Thanks again for trying to help.
