I have 2 of the MC2 wheels for our Dreamcast and love them. So, I wanted to get a couple of MC2 wheels to use on our XBOX as well. There was only one version of the MC2 wheel for the Dreamcast (beige w/ blue wheel grip). However, there are several versions of the MC2 wheel that can be used with the XBOX.

The original version (model # 4520) released for the XBOX was black with green wheel grip. I've heard these version 1 wheels had a problem with disconnecting in games sometimes. Some ppl reported problems, other ppl said they never had any problems. So, perhaps it could have been a XBOX version issue or something...I don't know.
On the MadCatz website, this version is pictured now as having black with orange wheel grip? (Yeah, that color scheme works for the XBOX...hehe).

Then, there is the first Universal version (6320) that is beige with red wheel grip. This version works with the XBOX, Game Cube and PS1/PS2. I've not heard anything one way or the other about these. All I do know is that they typically were more expensive in the stores. And, they did not have the ability to simply use one of the XBOX breakaway cable extenders (in case you wanted to move further back and play than the original cord length).
On the MadCatz website, this version is pictured now as having black with yellow wheel grip.

There is also the Micro-Con version (model # 4530) that is black/beige with green wheel grip. This version of the wheel is a little smaller than the other verisons of the MC2. I think this version was released due to some complaints by gamers that the original versions were a little too big for the leg supports to work for them. This isn't a problem for me as I have the Dreamcast version and the size is just fine. This is the cheapest of all the versions on the retail market at only $30 new (the last time I looked).

Okay, so there are basically 3 versions of the wheel that can be used with the XBOX. Actually, there are 5 if you count color variances. My two main questions are:

1) Is there any difference between the original and newer colored versions of the wheels? If so, what?

and

2) Which one is the best version to get?

The MC2 universal would seem to be the way to go if you had and XBOX, PS/PS2 and/or Game Cube. However, I only have a DC and an XBOX (or DC2 as I like to call it...hehe). I know there is a device I could buy that would allow the Universal wheel (at least the PS/PS2 connector) to be used on the Dreamcast. I'm just not sure how well this device works (any lag/etc.). If it worked find, it would allow me to sell off my DC MC 2 wheel versions and just keep the Universal wheels to be used for any of the gaming systems (gotta keep amount of space required for all this stuff in mind...lol).

So, If anyone here knows anything about any of the versions, please lemme know about em. Thanx.

PS: I'm also looking for the best "deal" on any of these as well...lol :}
