McCain canceled an interview with Larry King after this exchange between McCain spokesman Tucker Bounds, and CNN's Campbell Brown.

CNN: Explain to us why you think Governor Palin is ready to be commander in chief.

Tucker Bounds: Governor Palin has the good fortune of being on the ticket with John McCain, who there is no question is the most experienced and shown proven judgement on the international stage, he understands foreign affairs, he...

CNN: (interjects) We know all that about John McCain Tucker, I asked you about her though because we all know the role of the VP, as John McCain has defined it, is to be able to step into the job of the Presidency on day 1 if something should happen to the President, so I'm asking you about her foreign policy experience.

Bounds: Certainly there are a number of people that are supporting Barack Obama's candidacy and feel like he's experienced enough to take on the oval office, our feeling is that Governor Palin has just as much experience as Barack Obama.

CNN: But you set a different standard by arguing how important it was with John McCain, and no ones arguing with you that he has much more experience than Barack Obama, so I'm just trying to get someone from the campaign to explain to me what foreign policy experience she has and what qualifications she has that would allow her to be ready to be commander in chief if something should happen to Senator McCain.

Bounds: ...I don't think there should be any problem explaining her experience, she has executive state level experience, she has been in public office reforming Washington, she's been in executive office, longer and in a more effective sense, than Barack Obama's been in the United States Senate. She's been the commander of the National Guard of Alaska... National Guard, thats been deployed overseas, thats foreign policy experience.

CNN: ...Can you just tell me one decision she made as Commander in Chief of the Alaskan National Guard, just one?

Well, perhaps CNN didn't offer him naptime between questions on Larry King Live. I mean, that's a fair request. Or hey, perhaps McCain was too self-conscious that he'd poop himself and CNN has a no-diapers policy?

Campbell Brown is a bad-ass, but she'll be maligned as having a "liberal agenda" for asking that dipshit Tucker for a single fucking example of her foreign policy experience.

If they were smart, they'd shitcan Bounds and go on CNN, guns a'blazin'.

Or they'd have selected someone qualified to be VP. But that's thinking ahead.

Has this woman ever even been to Washington D.C. before? If you have never been there how do you reform it?

And each passing day more proof McCain just picked her because she is the only Republican woman.

That's really the move they should have gone with. This isn't the first time Bound's has opened his mouth and something stupid has come out.

That's an interesting question that I'm sure some network will bring up. As far as reforming it, I'm sure if McCain is elected President, she will have a new idea or two, because the people currently in Washington (current candidates included) don't know what they're doing (NOTE: I have a large distrust in Government, and always have).

No, I think McCain wanted to steal Barack Obama's thunder, which, for some part, he has. But he probably took a bit out of his sails as well.
That was hard to watch, poor guy.
And he's a professional too, he's the spokesman for McCain. No American has been that owned in 140 years.

He really doesn't seem to know very much about Palin, which is surprising since he should've known about her well in advance. This leads me to believe that she wasn't always their first choice.

Somebody didn't do their homework. He seems to know absolutely nothing about the woman aside from her name. I've learned one thing from watching all of these political spokes people, when you don't know the answer to something, avoid answering the question. Actually that applies to the politicians too.

Well, there was an article on MSN that said Joe Lieberman and this one other guy was McCain's first choice but the Republican party wasn't having that and so he chose Palin.

Tom Ridge.

McCain wanted a pro-choice guy and a friend, but then the Republicans seemed to threaten if McCain picked either the party would fall apart and not support him or something.

I love the fact if Joe Lieberman wasn't a fucking idiot and kept his mouth suck 8 years ago he could be running for president right now.
