media manger help

CAGiversary!
Anyone know of any good free or at least cheapass software for media management on the psp? Help is appreciated!

Whatcha trying to do? For my files I just connect the PSP via USB and the PC sees it as another drive. Then I just open explorer and dump in the file to their correct area (music, pictures, etc.). The only thing I haven't tried is creating the new "Video" directory and running anything from it.

nothing in particular..just want something that will format pictures, music, video, etc for the psp..

You're probably better off not looking for one program to do everything.

Just about any image manipulation software should be able to get you going with pictures. And if you already have a way of producing mp3 files, you should probably stick with what you've got. There's really no magic for either of these things, and it's easy to dump them on to the PSP.

For video, I use DVD Decrypter and PSP Video 9. There's also the PMP format. That takes much longer to encode than PSP Video on my computer, though, which is one of the reasons I don't use it. If you have the hardware, though, you can stream that kind of video to your PSP.

hi sorry i need help with this too i can't seem to put music into my psp i plug it in and it shows up as a hard drive but when i click on it there's no music folder to drop it in. All of my music is in the itunes format i think it's MP3

Actually with the 2.8 update you can make a folder right on the root of your psp (the drive that your PC attaches the PSP to when connecting it via USB) called "Music" (no quotes) and drop the mp3 or wma's in there. Otherwise if you're running an older version you have to go into the PSP folder and drop them in the Music folder.

Hope that makes sense.
