Hey guys, just wanted to let everyone know you can now pre-order the USB powered Mega Man 25th Anniversary statue at the Capcom Store. Its $99 and fulfilled by Digital River, so I guess we will see how everything goes.

1,721 available. I'd bite if Capcom was more transparent in regards to A) How many were being made and B) if it was going to be sold elsewhere or is a Capcom store exclusive.

Edit: It does say they are a Capcom Store Exclusive and that they are numbered. That changes thing a little (although knowing capcom they'll do a second run of unumbered units).

It's been a long time since I"ve preordered anything from them. I'm fairly positive a charge will come through initially but I cna't remember if it falls or and stays off or if they keep charging it every week or so until they ship.

I know my card was charged but it clearly states in their FAQ that it doesn't charge till it ships. I'm guessing it'll drop off in a day or so.

I've preordered a lot of stuff from them before but I'm having a brain cramp. I know it falls off (Unlike preorders from the treehouse stores (EA, Origin, Bioware, etc.)) but I can't remember if they ping it every few weeks to make sure the funds are there.

I know Best Buy used to (haven't preordered anything from them in the last few months) push the charge through a day or two after it fell off and continue that cycle until the order shipped and the charge finalized.

This was originally announced as a SDCC 2013 exclusive, but the reaction was so strong we're opening the floodgates early and giving you all access months ahead of time! Take note, however - this pre-order extends only through April 25!

Some further details from the product page:

USB powered LED lights on the base, helmet & buster
10 inch statue on a 6 inch diameter base
Each individually numbered
Capcom Store Exclusive - Limited Availability

From Capcom. Ordered one.
 
For all the shit that Capcom has given Megaman, that's cool, but Digital River will take your order then throw it in the trash.

I wonder how limited this will be... Capcom seems to love whoring out MM, outside of making MML3.

Any idea of more accurate date than Summer 2013? I'm guessing it'll be ready just before SDCC.
