CAGiversary!
Giving back: my first Cheap Ass Deal...

Meijer is opening a new store this week in Bloomingdale, IL. To celebrate, they are having "Doorbuster Deals" that apply only to the new Bloomingdale store and the Rolling Meadows stores in IL. It's a Buy-One-Get-One-Half-Off special on all digital entertainment media in the Electronics Department for this week.

Bloomingdale: BOGOHO on all games/DVDs/CDs from 5/17 - 5/21

Rolling Meadows: BOGOHO on all games/DVDs/CDs from 5/15 - 5/21

As always, pay full price for one item, receive half-off another similar item of equal or lesser value.

For example:
Buy 1 39.99 PSP game = 39.99
Buy 2nd PSP game valued at 39.99 = 19.99
Total for two games before tax: 59.98
Cost per game = 29.99

edit: I forgot to add that Nintendo Gamecube systems are also $69.99 during the sale. Get 'em while you can.

LOL, this must be the one on Schick/Gary intersection?.... I drove by this past Friday and saw a sign saying "coming to you on 5/17" something like that.

But the town is not Bloomingdale... anyways... I was just wonder what deals they have on opening day. Thanks for the post!

* any other deals? I meant grand opening has gotta be more special than BOGOHO..... what about TVs... etc.... :) I work 1 min from this meijer!

There's some 27" TV for $129.99, but the Rolling Meadows Meijers also had a $20 coupon for it, making it only $109.99. I got Hot Shots Golf: Open Tee and Untold Legends for my PSP yesterday. :D

I cannot believe this... it's like freaking thanksgiving day!!!!!!!

On my way to work, 7:30 in the morning... Meijer parking lot is FULL. I meant.. FULL, no spot, and tons of cars circle around just to find parking. There are even two cops out on each entrance sorta like .....regulate the traffic. (while giving out tickets for ppl miss the stop signs) WTH.

The TV seems to be good deal, is it Silvia or some brand? While I drove by, corner of my eye picked up this meijer employee draggin' a big pallet load of TVs with big 27" on it. That was probably it.

Man... I am sure there are other deals out there, anyone knows?

*edit : NM.. found AD paper on it's official web site...

How far is this place from Chicago? Also anyone get some good deals out of this? If so can you post what you got?

Take 290 West from Chicago, then Elgin-O'h expressway, exit on Gary Ave. Stay on Gary you will hit Schick Road. It's at the intersection. Without traffic probably 30-40 mins.

I don't think there are GREAT deals that would worth for you to drive all the way from there.... since most deals are posted online, check their main page and weekly's paper -> bloomingdale store. Total 35 pages I think

Worth mention is gamecube for 69.99... also this 12x 27" TV (nothing else, don't expect good spec) and I saw some 19.99 progressive scan DVD player.

Other thatn that... food and grocery are what I have in mind... also 24 pack pop for 3.8x (this IS cheap, right? just wanna be sure)
