I wasn't 100% sure where to post something like this, but thought this might be a good a place as any.
My dad has a digital camera that can record high def video (720p), but the video always stutters when we try and watch it on a computer. Video captured at standard def plays just fine.
I remember reading somewhere that the type of memory card in the camera has a big effect on how smoothly the video is recorded. Is there any truth to this? Will getting a better memory card solve this issue? If so, what would you guys recommend?
The camera uses SDHC, and we just got the cheapest one we could find. I think it's a Transcend card (8GB) that cost about $20.
My dad wants to capture some video during my graduation ceremony in a week, so I'd really appreciate your help. Thanks.
