Mercenaries for $29.99 listed as $39.99 in Sundays ad

I went to purchase Mercenaries 2, Ninja Giaden 2 and Condemmed 2 @ BB, but got Mercenaries, Ninja Giaden and ... DOA Extreme beach Vollyball. To my surprise Mercenaries rung up as $29.99

Not sure which to get. The PS3 version looks better, but I'm still tempted by the fantasy of being able to standardize on one system

I never saw a difference between the 2 versions when it first came out (when I saw them in store), and the few reviews Ive read if anything say the PS3 version has "ugly aliasing problems".

A one system standard would be a blow to CAGs. Less competition, means less price drops.

$29.99 at Amazon now as well. I'm tempted, but my backlog is so huge now that it will probably be $20 by the time I could get to it.

Word, Mercenaries 2 is quite possibly the gltichiest game I've played in years. A real pain when it blocks achievements because of a stupid glitch...

Thanks for the info, but I'm gonna pass on this game. I bought it when it was new (not sure what I was thinking), but maybe for $10 I'd re-buy it for the achievements.

The video review I watched had them side by side, and it ranged from no obvious difference, to the PS3 version having a lot higher resolution textures (it was sort of like the Xbox one was still using the textures the Playstation version had been using 50 feet back).
