Metal Gear AC!D for a trip tomorrow?

Help me out... I know this game has its "audience"... I just don't know if I'm it...

I enjoy games like Advanced Wars and Fire Emblem... and I enjoyed Baten Kaitos (card RPG for GCN...)

I've never really gotten into the entire Metal Gear Universe (tried paying the stealth games and got tired of 'em)

So should I get Metal Gear AC!D? What's it like... gimmie you're opinion on it good or bad. THANKS!
 
Well...you use the cards to move and attack, and basically anything you do in the game. You also get to buy the cards and edit your deck(s) and things like that. I enjoyed it until I beat it.



And just FYI, I have a copy I can trade/sell since I beat it long ago. PM me if interested :)
 
It is an excellent concept, intil you have to wait for a key or disguise card to cycle through your deck.

Also, you have to end an action just to open a door or go up a ladder (you get 2 actions per turn w/o powerup).

I would recommend waiting for ACID 2, which is going to have more refined gameplay.
 
It's ok. There are ton of non-bug bugs in the gameplay that prevent a non-card loving player from enjoying it. I, too, immensely enjoyed Baten Kaitos...but this game is merely average. If you love the Metal Gear series, I would say don't get it as all you will do is wish that this was a real Metal Gear series...given the great look of the game....
 
When i had my psp this was one of the few games i did enjoy. Never cared about MGS (other than the VR missions) and have no clue about the story. This game can involve a lot of trial and error, and a slight bit of luck.
