September 23, 2009 - Today at Tokyo Game Show Konami shared the Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker demo with the world. And now we're sharing the demo with you. That's right, you can download the demo in this article. Just grab the file below. Here are the requirements:

  • You need Firmware 6.0 on the PSP
  • Download and unzip the file below.
  • Install the file by going into USB Mode on the PSP.
  • On your computer go to the PSP folder, then the game folder, then drop "NPJH90063" into that folder.

Enjoy the demo, and know that if you get a rank of A or S you get an exclusive PSP wallpaper. Also, if you have a friend with this demo, you'll be able to play co-op.

That was unexpected. I'll wait until I pick the PSPGo up to try it out. I'm to lazy to clear out my memory stick right now...
 
I wish these psp demos could be played it on the PS3. I kinda want this, and would buy a psp for it if I felt it was worth it. Same with other psp games. But not being able to even try it out won't get me to drop my money on a psp again.
 
I beat it, but it took a bit. Almost all the text is in Japanese and the guy is giving you orders in Japanese... but once you get the hang of it, it is no big deal. Use the guide in the IGN article if you need help. Still worth playing. Definitely cannot wait til it comes out.

EDIT - This talks about the story, which I was not able to grasp due to language...

i dont think you need 6.0, i know i dont have 6.0 and it worked just fine. gameplay took a little bit to sink in since i was imagining the portable ops gameplay. overall the game looks amazing on the PSP and it plays great too bad this is just a tease of a game that doesnt come out until 2010.
