Another heads up for those of you near Microplay's.
I went to the Cambridge location this weekend and they had a Buy 2 get 1 free on used games. Looked to be only last gen stuff, but I might be wrong. Might include some 360 stuff too. Didn't see much in terms of PS3 or Wii stuff to notice.
Not sure if this applies to all other Microplay's or just the K-W region locations.
Anyways hope this helps someone.

Winnipeg's Microplay has been doing Buy 2 Get 1 on most of their last-gen stuff for quite some time now (Xbox/PS2/GBA/GC). Definitely not on Wii/PS3/360, though.

On a side note, they have that card now where you get a stamp every used game you buy, and after 10 you get 10 bucks off the next.

Yup, it's on Meadowood in the same strip mall as the Pizza Hut. Last one in the city! Always the best one, IMO.

I drive past there every once in a while, but have never bothered stopping in. Do they have any advantage over going to EB? How's their used game selection?

They get in quite a bit of used stuff, and there's a few other advantages that come to mind:

 1. They will take your name and number down if you want to preorder something or hold a rare item if it comes in. Without a deposit, even.
 2. They routinely get in a LOT of retro stuff now, including NES, SNES, Genesis. Hell, they even had two Saturns, a Vectrex, and a TG-16 in there a couple weeks ago.
 3. Their rentals are cheaper than Blockbuster or Rogers', and they rent a lot of obscure games you wouldn't find at chains anyway.
 4. They fix systems and controllers for CHEAP, as well as Guitar Hero and Rock Band equipment.
 5. Most importantly, their staff is really nice and close-knit, and they'll chat with you about any sort of stuff you're looking for.
I really like doing business with them over the chains, because it feels like I get more attention when I go there and they appreciate my business more.
Ottawa Microplay had it a while ago too. A better deal is B1G1F used game deal with coupon - this is Ottawa only.
Whoa, where exactly is this coupon now? And is it all used games...or just last gen?

The Ottawa area coupon was in the super saver canada coupon that came as junk mail. You had to live in the distribution area target by the mail out to get them.

I'm in Kanata and I don't think I got the super saver thing, either...
If we did and a family member threw it out, I'd be kinda bummed.

Yes the only one in Winnipeg is in a strip mall by St.Vital Mall. I go there when I'm in Winnipeg. Brandon has a Microplay and they've had the Buy 2 Get 1 Free on for while now.
So I'm assuming this coupon didn't find it's way out to Kanata then.. :whistle2:(
The coupon only works at South Keys, Merivale and Orleans locations. So I guess that answers the distribution target.
