Microsoft Xbox live points?

Any easy way or cheap way to get these? I really don't want to spend money.
I want to download the Oblivion content, and the download that lets me play the old xbox games on the 360.

Are there any games i can rent to get some quick easy points?

I also have some old 2 month xbox live trial cards, can i get the downloads out of one of these, since the card lets you play for two months for free.

Well, for starters, Achievement Points and Marketplace Points are two different things -- so, if you rent a game and acquire achievement points, you can't buy any content with them.

The two month trail cards let you use Xbox Live Gold for two months... it doesn't give you any Marketplace Points.

You can buy Marketplace Points through the Xbox Live Dashboard or at the store -- you can't get them for free, or any other easy way.
 
So i have to buy a $20.00 card if i want the oblivion wizards tower, even though they sell it for $1.99 to PC users?

You could buy a $20.00 card or buy a $2,000 computer.

Or you could just buy the smallest amount of points possible off of Xbox Live.
