Mirror's Edge tomorrow?

Mirror's Edge comes out tomorrow in North America. In Manitoba, stores are open from 1pm - 9pm because it's Remembrance Day. I'm assuming that isn't going to affect its release?

Also, has anyone heard anything about the preorder bags? A number of EBs have confirmed that they WILL be getting them in, but as far as I know nobody has actually laid eyes on them. Are they going to be available for pickup tomorrow? If not, does anyone know what's happening with them?

I'm in Ontario and was told that Mirror's Edge is out on 12th. Regarding the yellowy bag, I confirmed with EB that they received it but wouldn't release them without games. It's just a matter of convenience for them not to give double preorder bonus by mistake. They don't really mark who took it.
 
That's strange -- absolutely everywhere you look, the official NA release date is Nov 11. My entire plan for tomorrow is Mirror's Edge. Don't screw this up, EB :(
 
My nearby EB said the 12th, but they've said that with a lot of games that they just put on the shelf a day earlier. Mirror's Edge will probably be the same.
 
i got the bag... they said they'd call when they get it in.. they are usually good with that at the eb i go to

How is it? I mean, obviously it's cheap, but if I actually put something in the bag, is it going to instantly fall apart?
 
The bag is actually fairly decent. you can easily put your laptop into in and drive your bike :)

most stores should have it but it seems very limited in quantity. My store did not have enough to even cover the total number of pre-orders.

computer says the 12th. but i hope its tomorrow so we can sell something different then call of duty WAW all day long.

The computers do say the 12th for COD and its being shipped early and its not streetdated. Heck some ontario stores near brampton got COD WAW tonight.

I'll be picking mine up tomorrow, and yeah, the incompetence of the North Queen EB Games (NEVER GO TO NORTH QUEEN EB GAMES) will keep me from getting a bag with my preorder. That's why I go to the Cloverdale mall (for those in Etobicoke), sigh, wish I knew about them before the majority of my preorders were made at Cloverdale.
 
Just got back from EB (Polo Park / Winnipeg), and while they had just got their COD5 shipment in, there was no Mirror's Edge to be found. The bags were in, but they told me they were only giving them out when people picked up the game.

The funny part was the EB ad sitting on the counter, proclaiming Mirror's Edge "available 11/11".

Oh well. I guess I'll have to grab it at lunch tomorrow, even if now I won't be able to play it until... Friday? Yeah, probably Friday.
 
Mirrors edge was shipped same day today (11th). My store got a some of them. still open for another hour :)

There were limited number of bags available (like 5)
 
I'll just rent this game...
I loved the demo and played it like 20 times but I heard it's kinda short so yeah .
PS: If you are a rogers customer you might get a free rental ...check my own thread.
 
Its supposedly short but I'll just keep it since it only cost $40 due to the trading deal at EB. I wanted Valkyria but EB doesn't have it.

I just picked it up and will be playing a little bit tomorrow. Hopefully the DLC is like Burnout and we get some free stuff.

EB received shipments for this in the afternoon. Mine got them at 7:30.

I swear as a fellow Manitoban I find we are behind the release schedule 90% of the time seems like no Manitban stores can get their shit together. Glad to hear you got your bag as I pre-ordered from EBGames assuming I would get the bag if they don't have them I will cancel and just get it from Microplay.
 
I picked my game up today along with the bag. The bag isn't the highest quality (as can be expected).. no padding on the shoulder strap or anywhere else really.

I guess we're all too used to these major releases recently but in general I don't think most products are pre-shipped and street dated. Mirror's Edge, for example, was available to be sold whenever a store received its shipment.. at my particular store it was shipped there same day on Nov 11.. I got the call in the evening an hour before closing but wasn't able to pick it up until this morning.
 
Kind of feeling bad now that I didn't preorder. Bag actually sounds pretty decent.

But the yellow... meh, I'll just wait for a price drop.

I had really low expectations for the bag, so I was actually pleasantly surprised. The inner lining of the bag has a really minimal amount of padding, but the existence of any padding at all is really nice.

The EB I usually buy from (Polo Park / Winnipeg) never, ever calls for anything. I went to grab Mirror's Edge a lunch today, and it looked like they only had a couple bags on hand. I heard them say that they didn't think they had enough bags to cover preorders, so if anyone hasn't picked up their copy yet, I'd jump on it.
 
EB in Billings Bridge ran out of the bag now. I was the last one picked up and I know there are 4 more people who preordered it but won't get a bag now.
 
Got mine at EB Merivale. The guy didn't specifically say they didn't get enough bags for the pre-orders, but he asked me to make sure whether I wanted one, giving the impression that they didn't have enough for all pre-orders. First come first serve.

This was at about 7:30PM Wednesday night, they had ~3 more bags when I left. Haven't yet opened mine but was surprised at the size.
