Do you think it will be good? I didn't really like the combat system for deadly alliance I hope they will focuss more on the battle system not just the fatalities for Deception.

I'm hoping it'll be good too. I liked MK:DA, though I was a little disappointed that everything they said that was going to be in it wasn't (like torn clothing, multiple fatalities, etc). From what little I've seen, Deception looks pretty cool.

i think it will be ok, but i want more characters! trilogy ruled with the variety, and like 3 fatalities per person, plus others. still, its mortal kombat, as long as it has brutal violence, its fine.

From the preview in Game Informer there were a ton of returning characters(mileena, baraka, nightwolf, new sub-zero). Going with the two fatalities is alright as you can now sever limbs and enviormental fatalities can occur as well

...as long as it has brutal violence... MK makes me smile

Has any mortal kombat game been any good/ - No.

Can Midway make decent games? - No.

3. Was the last Mortal Kombat absolutely horrid? - Yes.

All signs point to suck.

So far I am not impressed. I'm not a fan of 3d fighters to start with, but it looks like they are trying to do too much to make the game popular again.

They have a lot of cool ideas, but if the fundamentals suck the rest doesn't matter.

The game looks really cool from what I saw on the PSM article. I liked the chess and puzzle fighter ideas.

MK DA wasn't really that bad, in fact it was a highlight of the otherwise boring 2002 year.

Sure there was only one fatality, but the gamplay was really polished.

MK: DA's real short point was the lack of modes, something MK: D seems to have in spades.

Nice avatar of the spazzed-out Ryu from Match of the Millenium. At least, that's where I saw him like that.
