Ok, I've been playing my Career in MLB 2K5 and I've noticed some major and minor bugs.

1. Passed ball bug (too many passed balls by computer)
- FIX: Set AI Fielder Errors to 50 in sliders

2. When you trade a position player in career, it sometimes replaces a position with a duplicate position (you'll have two SS or two 3B)
- FIX (possible): Remove the player you are trading from your starting lineup

3. Players of the week and Hot/Cold players do not get updated when you play every game in career
- FIX: Unknown

4. Injuries do not register (I had Rondell White get injured for 92 days, and he was in my lineup the next day....this REALLY pisses me off, nice realism)
- FIX: Unknown

5. Players never seem to tire over the course of the season (I think Pudge could cath 162 game and still be at full health)
- FIX: Unknown

6. Outfielder threw a ball to home, and it stopped by the pitcher's mound...no CPU player picked it up, just sat there. So I ran home...and the ball morphed to the outfield bouncing off the wall.
- FIX: None/Glitch

7. Had a ball bounce off my outfielders head and over the wall....went for a wall climb....ruling GROUND RULE DOUBLE
- FIX: None/Glitch


Now, this are starting to annoy me in my career mode, since I live for these in NFL and MLB....I may have to pick up MVP, bu tI like the gameplay/presentation in 2K5......if anone has solutions or more bugs, please post here

What is the "official" board....I cehck espnvideogames.com and it's a lot of asshats there.

I really want my injury issue to be resolved...and I found nothing.
 
So, anyone have any fixes for these?

I noticed they released a ROSTER UPDATE for 18 March 2005....but it's still out of date just by a quick glance. I would've waited for OPening Day to have a new roster update....I may have to pick up MVP
 
How do you like the gameplay though? I like the batting in ESPN better, but fielding goes to MVP. Have you tried the sliders someone put up from OperationSports (?)? Work pretty nicely for me, but I'm not sure if it'll fix those problems you listed.
 
I think the gameplay is decent.....MVP has better fielding and animations though. In ESPN the fielding is horrible...the 1B sometimes guns it to the pitcher when he's covering first.

The sliders fixed the passed balls...but that's it. It's a fun game...but I really like career modes...and the bugs kill it for me.

I guess if you SIM games, the stats and other things may work right, but I don't SIM games.
 
Agreed. This game is a whole lot of fun, especially in league play. The fielding got a whole lot better with the new sliders. There are much closer plays at first and second now, but there's just some horrendous AI in the field.
 
Yeah, that is why I may go to MVP again. ESPN wins hands-down in presentation, but MVP was pretty nice....you could slide into first base too ;)
 
I just hit a home run in Minute Maid Park (Astros) and the train that is supposed to go around the park disapears!
It is probably unfixable, but very funny!

Did you turn off FIREWORKS celebrations? I forgot, that is another bug....if fireworks are on, the custom HR celebrations don't work....like the train, the apple in NY
