MLB 2K9 - Xbox 360 & PS3 $49.99, Wii $41.99, PSP $26.99, DS & PS2 $17.99 all FS

If you wait a few weeks, I think this game will be available for a lot less (even if those are reasonable prices now).

Too bad MLB 09 The Show > MLB 2K9

Unlike most posts like this, mine is from someone who actually has both

If you have 360 2K9 so far seems to be a big step up from 2K6-8, but if you're a PS3 owner I can't imagine picking up anything but The Show

I'm gonna wait for all the reviews, since all things being equal I'd rather own a 360 baseball game since most of my friends own 360's not PS3's. However, if The Show prooves to be that much better, like it was last year, I'll be getting it for PS3 and just playing games a little less often, since they'll be in person on the couch.

IGN gave it a 6.8, which is slightly lower than what they gave 2k8. GI gave it a 7.3 and a 7. If you have a ps3, get The Show.

I hope 2K takes these reviews seriously, and does something about the game. Start over. The only reason anybody would buy their game is because they have no other choice (stupid exclusive agreements).

All those saying the game is fine, and it's personal opinion, please...
Go play MLB The Show, and then tell me those two games are even close in quality.

This is flat out wrong, because it is much better than 2k8. Though it doesn't come close to The Show.

If I had a review it would be The Show (basing it on last years) at a 9, 2k9 at a 6 and 2k8 at a 5 or so.

It comes nowhere near The Show, but 2k9 is definitely better than 2k8.

Yes they do need to start over with the 2k baseball series. It isn't working. I will at least give them credit for finally getting this game to run smoothly in the field though this year.

Would anyone really argue this? Im not sure if I have ever seen anyone say that a 2k game was as good as the show.

IGN gave 2k9 a 6.8. They gave 2k8 a 7.4:

Which is strange considering that others are saying 2k9 is much improved over 2k8.
