so i just bought a bunch of ff8 scale figures on ebay with buy it now, but stupid me, I didn't check if they accepted paypal (which they didn't), and now i'm stuck with money order. Its a $225 item, and I'm not sure if i trust them enough to send a money order for that much money. buyer has 100% feedback with only 80 or so. seriously don't want to screw myself over if this turns out to be a scam...what's your input?

Email the seller and ask if you can pay in 2 installments and see if they'll ship half of it to you before you pay for the second half. You'll have to pay more for shipping this way but worse case they screw you out of half the cost.

Otherwise just don't pay, take the negative and move on.

What is the feedback, though? Plenty of scammers build up bogus feedback by buying digitally delivered junk for pennies. Not saying this particularly seller is a scammer, but you never know. Feedback scores don't mean much.

TC, if you aren't comfortable with the transaction, don't do it. E-mail the seller with your concerns. The absolute worst thing that happens is you get a non-paying strike against you. Not the end of the world, especially if you're worried about getting screwed.

they had 2 neutral where people claimed that the seller did not send the item, that's what got me worried in the first place

I dont understand that did the seller respond to those feedback comments? I once had a buyer leave me a neutral for that but he never paid so that is why he never got his item. Neutral means it was an "ok" experience I dont understand why anybody would give a neutral for that if they paid and never received their item

Scared to death of getting a negative in return. It sounds crazy but I see that one all the time.

Indeed. You'll even see positive feedback with stuff like, "Item wasn't as described." Why would you leave positive feedback when someone sold you something different than what you paid for?! Again, though, people are scared of getting a negative in return.
