I've discovered yet another problem...

...looks like all of us who abused it won't be able to order from EBgames.com under the same account again. After 2 cancelled orders I gave them a call, they said that my account was filed under there "fraud prevention" or something or another and that all my orders will be cancelled from now on.

I really regret abusing that damn reservation rewards now, ugh, I guess we're getting out "just desserts" so to speak.
Was I the only person who used it once? It seems people either abused it or didn't do it at all.
I had a feeling that this was going to be a problem so I only used it once. And the one time I used it was with a code that someone else had so the Reservation Rewards place doesn't have my info.

I bet you were. I was not going to sign up for it. If I had I probably would have forgot to cancel it

I did it only once too. The only person I know who openly abused it was *drum roll* the now departed DealMasterX. I wonder how that poor bastard's doing.

I really don't think they'll file any fraud cases. From the sounds of it, and from my questions to they guy I spoke with, it sounds like the only thing that will happen is there fraud protection department won't be taking any more orders from us because we're obviously "high risk customers".

My exact question to the fellow I talked to was "so, all that's going to happen is your not taking out orders anymore?" in which he replied with a "yes, that's all".

I do regret it, I seriously do, and if for some reason they do decide to file cases which I don't see happening I hope they just give us the opportunity to pay the difference or send the items back...I will gladly do that. I hate not being able to shop there anymore.

I wonder just how many people actually "abused" this by using more than one code? My guess would be in the hundreds or thousands.
No, wrong again, I have morals. I consider myself to be a Christian person. I just don't feel that I did anything wrong here...and nothing you people can say will sway me from believing I DID anything wrong. I payed them each time, I got what I paid for. RR offered coupons, RR didn't think there coupon process through, RR's fault.

I have a question for you....if you walk into EB games B&M and see, say, Ninja Gaiden for Xbox. 3 copies on the shelf...49.99, 49.99 and one mispriced at 9.99...would you buy the one for 9.99 or the one at 49.99 becuase it was the "moral" thing to do?

I still deal with them because unlike some people, I know that shunning off a company and not giving them my buisness does not hurt them...so why not rack in on the DEALS when i can?
So now you feel bad because you got caught?

I think that those of us that only used it once should have nothing to worry about. The offer stated quite clearly that it was limited to one per household. There would be no fraud involved if using it just once. The offer also clearly stated that you could cancel "at any time". Whether it was 3 months later or 5 minutes later, that is at any time.

I would be quite surprised if it was EBGames that was shelling out that full $10 each time. I think it is more likely that the reservation rewards company is covering most if not all of that $10 as a way to get new members.
