I've gotten lots of great stuff from my local movie galleries they probably have the best deals in my area

Movie Gallery sucks for renting, its great for buying however. That's my experience, I'm gonna drive 20 minutes to get some dvd's this friday it seems. :)
 
I'm not sure if the problem is that they sell out the minute these things go b2g2 or if it's just that my store has nothing...

I might stop and check Thursday to see what the presale inventory is.
 
As someone said earlier, mine is also very good to great with the previewed movies. Unlike other places, these came with original boxes.
The Game selection, not so great...
 
There game selection tends to suck, and is too expensive. $39.99 for Harvest Moon? it's a Player's Choice title for god sakes. I was able to get Ninja Gaiden last year for $19.99 after someone mistakenly marked it that. It rang up for $40.
 
yeah the game selection does suck usually but there is one MG around here with quite a few good choice game titles, probably because it was Superstar video then got bought out recently

So has this officially started today? Both Movie Galleries around me are about 50 miles away so I dont want to drive there and be disappointed.

I can confirm that the sale is indeed going on, as I hit two Movie Galleries today. I can also confirm that the game selection is horrendous and the prices are high. I'd recommend calling first and having them tell you what they have. It should take the better part of 30 seconds, most of which will be taken up by them ringing up the person who just stepped into line. My huge Gamecube collection of 4 was enough to quadruple the Gamecube selection at the 2nd store.

The movie selection wasn't too hot either, as I could only find 2 titles I was remotely interested in.

Damn nice finds. Too bad the selection sucks at all the Movie Galleries in my area. Hell it's worth a shot. I gonna go out and see what I can find.
 
my town has 4 movie galleries... I went to all 4 and found nothing that wasn't newer than 2 years old... All complete crap.
