Multiplayer Online

Sorry online newbie here...when I have a friend over to play online with me for SOCOM II or Star Wars...do I still just sign on the game server and they appear as my guest like on Xbox or do I need to have them create a profile as well or how does that work?

It doesnt work. With PS2 you can play 1 person per PS2 on most online games. Socom II wouldnt even work well with more than 1 person on screen and people could easily cheat if that was possible.

Only game i know where you both can play online at the same time from the same ps2 is tribes ariel assault. Otherwise you guys have to take turns(same profile or different doesnt matter)
