Musashi Release Date for PS2

March 15th, I think. This is off the top of my head, since I remember receiving an e-mail from Square-Enix about Musashi's release date.

Is anybody else as excited about this game as I am? I thought the first was decent, but the graphics look beautiful, and I'm a sucker for action RPGs...
This is looking to be a splendid new title... it its MSRP 39.99 or 49.99?
The demo is really bland though. =/

Any recommendations on any action RPG's? I loved Kingdom Hearts and Dark Cloud 2. But don't know too many else. And I'm still waiting on Star Ocean 3 to drop down in price. Which I'll probably do the same for with this game.

You liked dark cloud 2.......its on my top ten worst games ever list.
after finish playing the demo, this game might not be as good as the first one. just my thought anyway...
I didnt play the first one and the demo to me seems like the gameplay well get boring fast, but I do have a 12 dollar credit at ebgames so I will pick this up if the MSRP is 39.99.

DC2 is a great game, though it's refusal to get cheaper is pissing me off.

Gamepro gave it a 4.5, not that they're all that credible... but it's the only review I've seen.

I could never find a copy of the first Musashi, I couldn't afford it when it came out.

The game's lame, in my opinion. I reviewed it for Newtype USA (anime mag), but they don't do scores, and I couldn't be as "opinionated" as I'd like to be. Just the fact that the main character is supposed to be a samurai but is wearing low-rise jeans and a halter top should make you wary about its value. Add Fullmetal Alchemist to the mix, and Square is dropping a lot of balls these days.

For the poster looking at Action/RPGs, here are a few quick thoughts:
-Dual Hearts can still be found cheap at some EB/GameStops. It's a lot like Zelda, but you have a fat dragon thing with you.
-Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance 1 & 2 and Champions of Norrath are all good.
-Chaos Legion is okay, though it's more action than RPG.
-If you have an Xbox, the upcoming Phantom Dust is good stuff, and will release at $20.
-The next Arc the Lad is a ways away, but I've been impressed by what I've played.
-Just DON'T play Shining Tears. My review: http://www.g4tv.com/xplay/features/51067/Shining_Tears_Review.html

I'm much more interested in this game then the first one. I guess I'm just a sucker for this type of animation. I'm waiting for more reviews before I decide whether to pay full price or not.

Shame, I was really hoping this would be good. The early screenshots implied controlling 2 characters at the same time while fighting hordes of enemies which I thought had good potential. Sounds like they dropped the ball with it though.

BTW your review made me laugh(...you paid for it :) ). I especially liked the 'BUY IT NOW' ad next to your 1 out of 5 stars review.

Wow, that's a really harsh critique of a game I was looking forward to. I hope you exaggerated, since I'm inevitably attracted to action RPGs, especially with stylized anime-inspired characters. It's going to be very hard for me to not pick Shining Tears up when it comes out.

Musashi looked sweet to me also.

No offense but your opinions/reviews remind me of the reason I trust little of what I get from G4. I can your taste in games is somewhat questionable if you even think of putting Dual Hearts in the same league as Zelda and Chaos Legion was below average amd had no more RPG elemnts in in it than say DMC or Dynasty Warriors. Bottomline is reviews are relative and people shouldn't discount Shining Tears on account of one review.
