Did a 2 minute drop-in at GS to look for used player's guides.

I hear this guy trying to get cash for a trade-in . . . no go, they'll give him a voucher to get cash later . . . says he's desperate. As he leaves . . . I asked what he had in the bag . . . clerk says we should step outside.

He has a gamecube gameboy player . . . some other stuff . . . I look, I had $15 in my wallet . . . I flashed it . . . not enough . . . I said $25. He waits in his car while I went into a Pick 'n Save grocery to ATM some cash.

I got out $30 to give him (added $5 . . . feeling kinda sorry for him). He's got a baby in a mini-van . . . says he needs cash to go get his wife who's car has a broken altenator . . . truth? I couldn't say.

Anyway for $30:
Gameboy Player (works in good shape) with plastic case for GC disc (disc in very good shape) and instructions.
Zelda Minish Cap (new/mint with box, instructions, and inserts)
Metroid Fusion (cart only so-so label)
Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga (cart only so-so label)
251 memory card (black Nintendo empty but works)

He threw in (maybe because I gave him the extra $5?)
Minish Cap player's guide (beat up but intact)
Prima Metorid Prime/Fusion guide
007 Agent Under Fire (GC disc only in generic case looks playable)
Prima 007 Agent Under Fire guide
Resident Evil Preview disc (with GC case)

What is the ebay value of this stuff? (I'm keeping it . . . been thinking its finally time for me to get a GB SP since the PSP will get all the attention . . .

Very good deal! I don't know individual values, but you seem to have made a killing. Hell, Minish Cap is worth about $25, so thats good right there.
Good deal, but it seems hot as hell to me.
I thought so, but he seemed like a gamer . . . throwing in player's guides? Not much of a thief and he didn't hustle me . . . just seemed like poor a person . . . Republican union-busted deindustrialization roadkill. Pretty sad actually.

That could have been the hustle there. But i doubt it, still good deal.

You could probably look at the save files on the games and see whether he was a "gamer." I know I've put a lot of time into those games!

Great deal OP!

I was curious to look at the Game Cube card (a full one reveals all you played and dates and progress) but it was blank :(

I tried Mario and Luigi and Metroid both showed progress (Metorid was at 99 I think). Didn't put in Minish yet . . . I was just thinking I wanted to play it a few days ago.

Have you put a few saves on the card, just to make sure it works?
Well now that you have a gb player you dont' really even need a gba do you?

Anyway very nice haul!
I want one mostly for domestic tranquility . . . I could play while my wife and I are watching TV (her choice of shows) but sit on the couch with her.
