My ebay dreamcast score (not a musical score)

stock photo and iffy feedback and no shipping charges listed. If it works out for you, then it's an okay deal.

Hopefully the games aren't copies. They aren't real clear about them other than the fact that they work.
If everything is legit, that's a very nice deal!

My thoughts exactly.

There's some good ebay buying tips in the "ebay pet peeves" thread. One of them would be stock photos. Especially with a system where it is so easy to run bootleg game on. Good luck with it.

If they are backup, then I can send it back and I'm out 10 bucks. Not really that big of deal. Also, can you even play seaman without a microphone? What would be the point of backing that up?

Selling it.

Seriously - did you already pay? If not, just mail the guy. If you did... I'd say still mail him, but I really wouldn't know how to go about getting the money back. How did you pay?

I don't consider that a great deal. For one, you can purchase a PO Dreamcast from EBGames.com for $20 (has been as low as $10) with free shipping. You also can pick up a second controller for $3 and a VMU for $2. So for $27, you've got all the hardware. If all of the games are complete, originals, and in good condition, then you did get a good deal. But the seller mentioned nothing about them being complete or originals, nor did he mention the cost of shipping. Given his feedback, I would not feel comfortable sending this guy money, even if it is Paypal (which is a joke when it comes to protecting consumers).

I say the chances are 85% + that you're getting a legit deal. Looks to me like an ebay nub, not a con artist. His one negative feedback was when he was a buyer arguing with a seller about something. I don't even count those as negatives.

That said, I wouldn't have bid on this. :p

Shipping was only $10, and I already paid through paypal. I would have asked about the condition of it earlier, but I only saw the auction 2 hours before it was over, and was willing to take a chance to get a good deal. I'm still pretty confident that these aren't backups, maybe not complete, but probably not backups. His only negative was when he was a buyer, so I just skipped over that because he has perfect selling feedback(only 1, but still perfect).

Just got this email

"Hi Andrew,
The majority of the games come in their original case with manual....I am looking for the microphone to seaman..so far I haven't been able to find it, but if I do, I will ship it. Thanks so much. Nancy.. "

Sounds like it's going to work out well for you
We're still going to need pics for verification purposes

Dang it I came in here expecting to hear some sort of Dreamcast Song about Ebay!

Foul, I Cry, Foul, Mods--make the OP edit the post title!

:)

Well, I just got this in the mail today. Everything was complete and in good condition except seaman and virtualon, which were missing instructions. I'm still extremely satisfied though, considering Marvel vs. Capcom 2 alone goes for $40-50.

Congrats...even though I still don't believe you :D

Seriously though, good score, especially on the Marvel vs. Capcom 2.
