This week Toys R Us has a feature in it's ad, $5 off of all games $19.99 or under.


I picked up Mad Maestro, Savage Skies, Driven and Mojo all green tagged $9.99 games. They had to be rung up as a purchase so technically I had to pay 1 cent each so it really wasn't free but for $0.01, I didn't care.

The manager had to override the system though because it didn't take the $5 off automatically so I had to show them the ad.
 
Nice. Reminds me of how I got tons of shitty psone games from FYE over the summer for 1 cent each.


Unreal Tournament on XBOX was $5 a couple of weeks ago so that should also be a penny. Basically, anything still in those giant, blue bordered value packs should be .1 material.
 
Interesting...the TRU I visited today had signs all over the place specifically excluding green-tagged games from the $5 off special.
 
Very nice! I'll have to dig out my TRU ad and give this a shot tomorrow. (Unless I'm feeling too lazy :D )
 
Cool I want to pick up some for Media Play's trade in Tuesday. 4 (trade ins) for 1 New release 49.99 and under. I was going to pick up another Wal-Mart 3 pack, but this is sweeter if there are any left.
 
i don't get it, five dollars off four $10 games would mean $20. or am i missing something? is BOGO still on? would that mean $5 off each game including the free ones?
 
I work at TRU, my store managed to catch that quirk late last night and in a last ditch effort printed up a bunch of signs saying that "due to an ad misprint, we inadvertently forgot to imention that the deal is NOT good on green tag games"
I'm sure by now, the majority of the stores have caught on to that and posted signs as well.
 
I tried to get the $5 off a green tag game at thePalmdale/Lancaster store but no dice. They also wouldn't let me have another $5 off Riddick after I price matched it to Best Buy's advertised $15. I amy try again at my local store tomorrow. If they go for it I can still return the other.

For some reason the sales tax on my purchase went nuts and came about $2.50 less than it should have been. It appears it may have treated the sales tax eliminated by the promo as a credit. All told, I got 8 games and a $10 gift Card for $94.44 plus the 4% rebate from my TRU Visa card. Pretty close to $10 per game and it'll be under if I pull off the Riddick deal.

i'd request a price check. They've been done to that price for many months, long before the green tag sale.
 
That manager is an idiot. The freakin ad says "on selected games". There games that are 19.99 that aren't even showing up on sale. That dude should be fired but good deal though.
