Went south of boston today (braintree and brockton for those in the area). Here's what I found

Best Buy braintree-

fable guide .01
doom 3 guide x3 .01
sorcerer hunter complete collection $15

Gamestop's in braintree were worthless. One didn't even stock ps1 games, and the other has rhapsody listed online but said they didn't have it (the guy refused to even look).

Gamestop brockton-

Suikoden ($28, replacing my sealed one I just put on ebay)
Riviera ($30)
Street fighter anniversary guide x2 .01
nocturne guide .01
phantom brave guide x2 .01 (almost missed this and nocturne, hidden in the small ps2 guide rack on the wall behind a sign)
full metal alchemist guide .01
demon stone guide .01 (going to argyle if he still wants it)
pikmin 2 guide .99 used
phantasy star online 3 card revolution guide .99 used
klonoa door to phantomile 14.99

they also had a disc only suikoden 2, which I declined (not worth the 60 bucks)

gamestop 2 brockton

digital devil saga controller overlay sticker thingy x2 (free)
street fighter anniversary guide x 2 .01
fullmetal alchemist guide .01
front mission 4 .01
riviera $30
A Nocturne penny guide?!

If you find another one, please, oh PLEASE PM me.

P.S. Lucky does not even BEGIN to describe you.
Indeed... I paid $20 for mine. It's a very nice guide, especially for $.01.:applause:

BTW, how do you people find these penny guides? I never see any!:whistle2:?

Gamestops used to be penny guide heaven, then they started cracking down a few months ago. Can't get them unless I'm extremely lucky around here (ie. got an unofficial halo 2 guide, likely wasn't tossed since only 1 type of halo 2 guide was pennied). But the two gamestops I found guides at didn't seem to care, and I really liked the one where I got suikoden and the nocturne guide. Very nice, the people didn't seem the type to deny having things they really did, and they are one of the few stores that still doesn't care about penny guides. Though the fact that it's about 50 minutes away (and I have to drive through boston, gotta love the 2 p.m. rush hour) means I won't be going there anytime soon.

There is one gamestop where the manager said he'd give them away if I call them up, or go down before they're tossed. Another great manager I used to like quite or got fired. He'd go out of his way to find penny guides for me, and let me have a ton of used anime for half price, instead of just the new anime (which is what it's supposed to be).

The only penny guides you can hope to find now are the old ones that never sold (alias, soul calibur etc.). Also, you have to know (or pricecheck) guides you want, as they are rarely ever marked a penny.
