Well, I snagged another sign from work to add to the collection of crap that I dont really need. I'm running out of room.....quick. And I have to get rid of some of them sooner or later, but this is a new one I got last night.

I need to adopt a child so I can force him to work in a game store and get me free posters and crap. I tried a number of times to get jobs in EB or Gamestop, but they were all a bunch of fuckholes and never gave me shit. I did manage to get a large magnetic Ico poster from Toys R Us when I worked there, which now sits outside on my old college refridgerator.

So a bunch of Gamestops and EB's turned you down and you blame them? Maybe all of them were correct. Myself, Ive gotten every job ive interviewed for. I rock!
 
I find if i took every little promo/display item I lusted after from work I'd have to sleep outside on my kitchen step...so I try to keep it at a minimum, lol...and most of it I'm just hanging on to wrapped up until I get my own place and have room to display it.

alongx: perhaps they sensed you kept calling them bad names.
 
I'd say that getting dibs on game displays and whatnot are a nice perk of working at gaming stores. Why should they give them to someone random person just because you want them? If they gave them to someone random, chances are it wouldn't be you because a couple hundred other people would have already asked.

OMG!!!! i cant believe you said that, because thats the one im snagging next week!!!! It has a huge hologram on the front. I'll post pictures of it when I get it.

I've gotten all my stands and stuff from Toys R Us where I work. And 9 times out of 10 some manager wants to crush them. And trust me, I'm almost close to living outside because i've got so many.
 
I went to this thread expecting pics of some HUGE plasma display with an uber surround system and an authentically molded cockpit.

It answers my question me and my friend were wondering what happens to the old displays at game stores. Where he and I work none of the displays are worthing taking. wal-mart and sears. If I worked in a game store if it was something I did not want it would be on ebay that night.
 
My three closest EB's have been kind enough to give them away. One has a nice manager, the other I don't know who I asked but he said to just come a little before they throw them out. And the other does the same; I even got a WarioWare mustache box(It has a fuzzy mustache) from them.

The manager at one said that the employee Steven(The employee I don't like), "collects" them... He said they are not supposed to sell them.
 
I snagged a few DOA Beach Volleyball "refractor" posters when I worked at Gamestop. Its kind of funny cause they were throwing them out and I asked for them..got like 7-8 of them. They are super sweet. I sold two of them on Ebay, one for $40+ and one for like $22, gave one to a friend and still have a few left for myself ;)
 
I think im going to sell my StarWars ones on Craigslist or something, because there is no freakin way im shipping these to anyone......
