I can't get it to eject and i just got my psp from my brother (works for sony) and i can't get the thing to eject and i'm twisting it pretty bad. Now back to, Dynasty warriors, Hotshots golf, Lumines, Ridge Racer, and Vampire chronicles mmmmmmm

ps i'm not sure if this is U.S. System or if this is japanese.

nothing no noises or anything. I did notice though you cant just lightly tap it, you have to press it down but nothing like my friends from japan. His makes funny ass noises. So far i'm impressed, no dead pixels either by the way.

WOW the video conversion is EASY and AWESOME! Guys PSP so far is just amazing, MP3 quality speaker quality amazing just keeps on getting better

Well he did say his brother WORKS for Sony. :p

But seriously, You said it was easy, are you using the imiage converter software that sony's selling or the free application in the tutorial that's been going around? Also what have you converted and in what formats were they? Are there limits on what formats the program will convert if you are using the official software?

Hrm, I wonder if you have the US or Japanese system. If it's US, try playing import games and see if they work!! Sony says they should, but you never know...
I still dont know if im going to buy one...It will take alot for me to throw 150$ at a handheld
yeah, well how 'bout $200?

The PSP looks so sleek. I really can't wait!
I don't really care about battery life since I'm usually close enough to plug to play a game, as long as it lasts over an hour, I'm cool.
Keep us updated OP and ignore those boneheads who flame you! Thanks!

5 hours and 38 min 23 seconds. My battery died after that much play. Sound all the way up (which is wicked bad sound btw) and picture brightness at 3 (highest it goes while unplugged). Listen, for holding onto a portable PS2, nearly 6 hours battery is amazing, i'm shocked!

lol i had to poke some fun at the DS i love this pic!

Haha... nice pic. But even nicer is the Logitech MX510 you got sitting there on your desktop. That thing is SAWEEET! I got the blue one. Back to the PSP... still debating on whether I should get it. It's just about the coolest handheld.

posters are trying to flame for the price b/ why are they not commenting on the battery life. 5 hrs is not bad at all. who plays a game for 5 hrs straight. u have to take a break or your eyes will fall out

Most of the debates about battery life are argued about playing it in a row. My main problem is that i dont ALWAYS plug my DS/SP/PPC when i get home at night. I like being able to use things without being surprised that my battery is almost dead. Considering for every 2 times i charge my DS/SP i have to charge the PSP 4, that is annoying. My PPC has a little les as far as battery goes when games/videos are considered, and i have to make sure that i plug that in so its usable for when i need it. Im at its whim, which would be the same thing with the PSP

Oh, and i highly doubt all those launch games will be available on day 1. The launch window is normally 1 to 2 months in press release speak

that is krazy!!! were u trying for the world record or something???? life is too short to play a game for that long unless u are trapped in your house during a blizard and there is no electricity.

i charge my cell phones before i go to bed or in the morning when i am getting dressed. i guess i cld do the same thing w/ the psp b/ i will not use it anywhere as often as my cell so i sld not have to do that.

5 hours playing just one game or different games? That's really about what I expected it to be, but it's certainly nothing to write home about then. I mean it could be worse, but don't forget some games will use the battery up much faster so it may only be like 3 and 1/2 hours or something...And I don't even want to think about movies. Guess they'll never put the Lord of the Rings movies on UMD...

The PSP just looks damn nice.

The DS looks like a cheap knock-off in comparison. I like the DS, but if the PSP is what it's cracked up to be, Sony could blow Nintendo out of the water.

Does anyone else feel the same way?

Well their totally different machines so I don't see how it could be a knockoff. Also their are pandering to different argets in a way, the DS is an innovatiive gaming machine catering to those younger and the PSP is a all in one technology package catering to an older crowd. Plus Nintendo has had a run in the portable gaming market for so long it will take quite awhile to overthrow them.

And don't forget there's already chatter about the next gameboy....I have kinda come to see the DS as something new nintendo whipped up when they heard about Sony's new portable to keep them fresh before the next GB, but maybe this is all just me.

I think he might be referring to playing the PSP for the full length of the battery straight through. Otherwise, I'd be inclined to join you in that little joke.

You should see the other thread where he wants to compare muscles with someone who said they play 10-15 hours a week of video games. He's like an anti video games, video game player.
i put in 8 hrs a week at the gym. lets compare muscles
Then after some questioning
point is 10 - 15 hrs is a lot of time to sit on your behind and play games. we live in an obese society and w/ health care costs rising as a result we will all pay the price. moderation people. like hulk hogan said, prays, vitamins (just say no to steroids) and working out. noop. i've been an avid video game player since the 2600 (or colecovision, i forget which one came first) point is there are limits. a healthy body and mind are needed in this life. my 10 year old looooves games. he claims to have beat halo 2 in a little over a weekend. i tell hime that games are great but education and physical activity are important as well. i love games i just want people to be healthy and motivated. and regarding the blizzard comment yes i was talking about battery life.

That may be but, think about what 10-15 hours per week translates into. Its about 1-2 hours a day. That's not really very much when you put it into perspective. Hell I'd bet you spend more time than that watching TV?

A more likely scenario would be me being trapped on a train for 8 or so hours this May. Thanks alot to my parents for booking those train tickets to St. Louis...I wanted to fly or at least drive, but nope they had to take a train.
