CAGiversary!
Today was just an awesome day. I found so many games that have been on my want list for a long time. I went to a myriad of stores and it took sometime, but it was worth it over all. Today I went to 3 EBs, 1 Gamestop, and 1 Suncoast.
At the first EB I went to, I was searching their PSone games and low and behold, I see a Tails of Destiny 2. Now I have been trying to find either the first one or the second for quite some time since I played Tales of Symphonia and I was just amazed at seeing it. I was holding my breathe hoping that it would be complete, and it was. Manual, case, discs and all. The case has a couple scratches and one small crack, but otherwise it's in near mint condition. The price of it if you were wondering was roughly $27 after Edge card and my friend's employee discount.
The next EB I went to had to be the worst experience I have ever had at an EB. EB corporate really needs to send a secret shopper to that store so that they I'll fire most of the employees and that banchee of a manager. But still, with all the trouble they give, poor customer service, and no help, I managed to find a complete mint Tecmo Deception 1 for PSone
for $5. Made me happy since I've been trying to find one for a while and the price was great, especially after Edgecard
The last EB I went to had some of the best service I've had, and I found a "supposedly used" Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne. I have been wanting this game for some time and after seeing the price of a recent auction of one (that was on CAG) and the exorbant (sp) amount that it went for ($65 if you were wondering) I decided to pick it up. The guy (who I'm sort of friends with since back in school) said that they received a sealed Shin Megami Tensei from some person who didn't like it (beats me how they played it then, but I guess they had two or received it as a gift and had played it before) and their manager said that they had to open it up. Fine by me as the box, instructions, and discs are all truly mint, with not a single scratch. This is also the LE version of it that came with the cd. While I was there, since the Double Jump book is really nice, and relatively cheap, I decided to pick one up. After Edge Card, the 20% off guide books when you buy the same game with it, and a small employee discount it was a little less than $50.
Then I went to Gamestop and found a No One Can Stop Mr. Domino for $5 and it too was complete.
And at Suncoast I found the Yu Yu Hakusho.
Basically an awesome day with a lot of great finds that I have been wanting.
Now to play some Shin Megami and see if I can get to that Asperagus Monster that Karsh and zion were talking about.
