Went to Wal-Mart today and was looking in the game section. I noticed on the bottom of a rack was Bassmasters 2000. I asked the manager how much it was. After trying to look it up on his scanner, he went to the register to try. After no success, he told me he had to go into the back and look up the UPC. He then said it would probably be the same price as the others he had in the back. Excitedly I told him I would like to know what other games he had. After a couple of minutes he came back out with BM 2000, Super Mario 64, Mario Kart 64, 007: TWINE, and THPS 2. He told me they were 19.82 each. To be honest, I just felt this was too high for that old of games. I already have SM64 and MK64. I wouldn't mind having 007 and BM 2000. Did I pass up a good deal or is it just better to head over to Game Crazy and buy them used?

You made the right choice. $19.82 for those games could constitute robbery. Go to gamecrazy, or if you don't mind cart-only, buy them from EBGames.com for like $3. :)

Well, if them being new matters to you, then you need to evaluate if it's worth the $15 difference. I'm a collector, so I'd probably cough up for the new copy, at least for Mario 64.

But if it doesn't matter, then go for the cheaper copy, of course. Do know that $20 is probably the cheapest you'll ever find a sealed copy for...

To me, Mario 64 is a good deal at just under $20 considering that the only GameCrazy around here has none and it's $14.99 or more everywhere else for cart-only copies.

I've seen loose carts of Mario Kart 64 for $20, so that isn't bad for a new one. You can do a lot better with a used copy, though. Same with the others.

Better yet, wait until you get the revolution (it's your destiny, you know) and play them on that. They won't dare charge more than $5-$10, will they?
