Need A Deal On Jerky Please

As the title implies, anyone know any good cheap jerky? It can be online too as long as it's good and a lot, I know Costco has 2-packs for about $10 but as of late the jerky seemed to be bad/spoiled (had to actually return it). Anyways what kind do you guys snack on, where do you buy it, and for how much? Also I live in Orange County, CA.

P.S
No advice on making it myself, I have a dehydrator, I have made it myself and it is good but, it takes too long, you can't fit enough inside and it takes about 1 more day after it's actually done to start tasting good, I can't wait hat long :(

A week or so ago I found 1lb bags of Pemmican (only brand I eat) at Big Lots for $8. Look there if you have any near where you live.

This Bronco Billy stuff rules: http://shop.ebay.com/?_from=R40&_tr...co+billy+beef+jerky&_sacat=See-All-Categories

Been eating their Old Country flavor for the past 2 years or so. Forget that store bought assembly line processed crap like Jack Links, Pemmican and Oberto, this stuff blows it away. It's handmade in a smokehouse with great cuts of beef and awesome flavor. Now there are bad pieces every now and then, but that's pretty much the same no matter what you pick up.

If you figure store bought (from grocery not warehouse) single bags are ~3.5oz and 5-6 bucks, 1 LB will usually run you 20-24 + tax, so this is right on par for better quality.

You can buy a small bag or a sampler pack from them, I did this too just to check it out at first.

This stuff is awesome too, although more expensive: http://www.woodys-smokehouse.com/jerky/beef-jerky

And here is a good review site: http://www.bestbeefjerky.org/search/label/Best

Anyways, good luck and hope you find something tasty!

I've tried the Bronco Billy jerky too, pretty good stuff. I can recommend it as well. Got the sampler some time ago, I think the hot & spicy and barbeque were my favorites.

I'm not much of an aficionado as far as taste goes but I tend to stick with Werner Gourmet (http://www.jerkysnacks.net/). You can get a 35x count jar of jerky for $22.52, 24x sticks for $17, and 80x medallions for $13. They've got all kinds of other jerky too.

I used to like the 1lb bags of jerky strips that Wal-Mart sold, but haven't seen it around for awhile and they were almost always out of Teriyaki. Never found it online either.

Thanks there is a Big Lots near where I live, for $8 it seems reasonable, if I don't like it I'll try what the others are recommending.
