NEED a new Online PC FPS!!

I just quit playing CS awhile ago after 4 1/2 yrs of just about daily play with 4 Cal seasons under my belt.

So now, I need a new online FPS. i've already tried several games such as DOD, TFC, Q3, and COD. All of which haven't grabbed my attention. Cept TFC, which I played before CS, but I quit that too.

So I need some suggestions on a really good/deep/fun online FPS with a huge userbase (like CS). I'm lookin at UT2k4, and MAYBE Battlefield, but I'm leaning towards UT2k4.

Any suggestions?
 
I'm just like u..i've been playin CS/TFC from the second it came out... UT is awsome but is really fast pace..nothing like CS..Battlefeild is amazing also.. but unlike UT its not a killing spree...

Battlefeild has huge maps and great car/planes...

UT is the same but taken in a differnt time..try the demo of the games if u want..they'll give u a good sample of wat u want.. go to gigex.com..best place to get em..

Other than that...rest arent all that good
 
Battlefield 1942 is fun and you can probly get it cheap nowadays. BF: Vietnam is okay but not as fun as 42. UT2K4 is good and there are alot of mods.

However, IMO, BF 42 is the best.
 
Yeah, I've played both demos already. Cept I'm hoping someone here is good enough to persuade me to go one way or the other.

Also, should I just save my money and update my comp. in anticipation for HL2 and CS on the Source engine? I like this soluton alot too.

I have COD...its not tactical enough. I became addicted to CS because of the tactics, teamwork, and just game play mechanics. I'm not referring to public servers, but league play.
 
Battlefield is great, thats what I went to after CS. But you know once CS Source comes out your gonna start playing that! I know I will.
 
If your looking for tactics, you should probably stay away from ut 2004. THen again, all i've played is the demo of Onslaught mode (by far the funnest one), so my comments may not be that accurate.
 
i still play cs so sad so sad so many years invested but i like you do cal and cpl tourneys so it's worth it. CS source starts beta in about 7 days so i would wait for that, i play BF1942 in my freetime though BF just rules. I also just picked up joint ops that's pretty neat, but my life belongs to Doom 3 for the next week or so rawr!
