Need a PS3! For a reasonable price

Hey everyone, kinda new here to the forums, don't really post a lot, like to look at the game deals and such, but this site is awesome.

I do need help finding a PS3 for cheap, an 80 GB or 160 GB doesn't really matter to me. My XBOX 360 just got the RROD. Kinda want a system that doesn't die on you. Any help would be great. Thanks!:applause:

Check Dell.com as every once in awhile they offer discounts on the PS3. It was a few months back and they were offering something like 25% off on a PS3 with free shipping. If you can wait there is the rumored Sony price cut in the works sometime later this year just in time for the holidays.

Check your local craigslist. That's how I got a used one for half price. Every time you see a listing, email with a low offer. Some people flame you back, but you'll probably get someone who will deal within a month or so.

I've purchased 2 guitar amps and sold a 360 on Craigslist without any problems. Just don't be stupid with it, and you'll be fine.

I still have an unopened refurb 80gb 4usb PS3 from gamestop.com. They sell it for 399.99 + tax.
If you want that you can just pay me $300 + s/h

Meet at the mall or other public place, don't give out personal information other than your phone number if you need to, pay with cash.

Play-N-Trade usually has the best used prices on used PS3s. (out of the regular retail used stores)

For the lowest deals, Craigslist really is the way to go. Like Chakan said, make sure you meet the seller in a public place with plenty of people around. Malls and other shopping centers are a good idea. Pay cash, and don't carry much more cash than what you are buying. Craigslist ads that include good images of the item are more reliable.

On the PS3, the size of the hard drive is irrelevant. Try to find one of the older model PS3s that has backwards compatability. (all of the 20gig models had BC) Upgrading the PS3 hard drive with a larger one is very easy, and 2.5" notebook hard drives just keep getting cheaper.
