My HDTV died and I am able to hook my PS3/360 to my LED monitor via HDMI. The problem is, I need sound. I've tried hooking up the PS3 using the HDMI and AV cables for sound using some splitters/jacks with my PC speakers and even earbuds but I'm not getting anything.

Even tried my 360 Turtle Beaches. Nothing.

Any affordable solutions? I'm kind of out of ideas.

audio adapters is how people do it, not sure why it wouldn't work for you. make sure you go to the ps3 audio settings and change it to RCA cable, because it's likely defaulted to sound through HDMI.

that may be your problem.

I wouldn't have even known that. I'll try that.

That worked. Thanks!
