My folks are looking to finally buy a BR player for the living room. In theory it will replace the DVD player and Seagate FreeAgent Theater+ and also eliminate the need for an HDMI switch.
They stream a lot via Netflix on the Seagate which has worked well for them. They also do have Amazon Prime though haven't used it for streaming since the Seagate does not do that.
However they also stream from my dad's WHS (v1). That Seagate is amazing and has read darn near everything it's ever been pointed to. I actually don't think it connects via dlna so much as he maps to the WHS with a username & password (which is saved) and accesses the files just like any other PC to PC shared folder. But I could be wrong and need to double check that.
So, those are the important things....Netflix, Amazon Prime, easy connection to his server for files and obviously a wired (preferably) network port.
Under $150 possible?
