Hey guys, I need some recommendation on some good co-op games and general good LAN games. Generally anything that is fun to play in multiplayer over a LAN. Games that have bots are also prefered. So a game like F.E.A.R. Combat is nice and fun but with out bot support it feels kinda empty and therefore ot very fun.

Old games are fine as well. So any PC games with good mulitplayer and maybe bots. Also suggest any good mods for any of the games.

And just so game that I already have are not repeat here is a list of current stuff.

My favorites:
FPS:
Unreal for THE best FPS co-op story mode in a PC game yet.
Halflife - team fortress classic

RPG:
Neverwinter nights is great fun co-op. (I dont know about NWN2 , I havent tried it yet)
Titan Quest
Tons of F2P MMOs online for some co-op grinding goodness.

While I hate playing RTS games online, over LAN they're amazingly fun. C&C: Red Alert 2 is my personal favorite.

Left4Dead, by TurtleRock and Valve, is one of the first major coop games coming to the PC in years. I think it comes out this fall.

from time to time i play return to castle wolfenstien 3d enemy territory, its free and has a little stat building(body armor, dual pistols) but make sure to play a server that saves your xp, unless you dont care about the extras

Armed Assault or its predecessor, Operation Flashpoint were great co-op LAN games. However, they have a larger learning curve and being a realistic shooter, it's very unforgiving as infantry.

However, because of it's wide open maps and easy mission editor, there are a ton of co-op only missions available online and in the box, including combined arms scenarios where you've got both infantry, tanks, and aircraft all working together.

There's nothing like yelling at your buddies flying in the blackhawk that just dropped you off to turn and use the vulcan minigun to strafe some infantry pinning you down in the city. Then vectoring in another friend flying a fighter/bomber or attack copter to destroy a tank convoy headed your way.
Freespace 2 is bossy. And free.
Yes to the first part, not so much on the second part...

They released the source code for porting/modding, but the actual game assets are not available for free. You still have to buy the game if you want to play it.

Maybe you were thinking about Allegiance, MS's old space combat MMO that is now free. You can DL both the client and server files here:
