Currently using a sony trinitron CRT. My cabinet is around 37 by 28 1/2. I like my trini but saw GOW 3 on my friends LCD and it blew mine away and his wasnt even 1080p. So it's time for me to upgrade. I hear the sizes i need are cheap atm but i don't know where to begin to look due to so many factors. Id like somthing that still dispalys a good 480i signal, has good 480p 720p support as I don't want up or down-converting.

So far i'm interested in these models, however if they arent good please let me know. Also if you know of better let me know.

Whats the difference in 1080p with the 120 vs 60 hz, i've heard different opinions, one says it improves, others say it does not.

Funny that you wrote this as I just bought a new television last night for Gaming/Blu Ray. I bought the LG47 inch LED 1080P with 120hz refresh rate. (got a free sounds system and blu ray player with it too if your interested in going all out)

From the research I have done, and my knowledge of televisions over the past two years, 32 inch screens are not always cabable of showing the full benefits of 1080P and in my opinion, I would never waste the extra money for 1080P if 720P is going to look somewhat similar.

As for the refresh rate, I think its about time that 120Hz is really being seen as beneficial over 60hz, especially when you have a screen that is 1080P.

If your looking for something decently priced I would go for a 720p 32 inch screen for your gaming needs. I picked up this size for my room in December and it works quite well. If you plan on going any bigger then 32" I would take the jump to 1080p.

Thanks for the input glad sombody responded so quickly! Been gaming in 720 and 1080i on my set for a few years, unfortunately the cabinet i have to use will only support the 32 inchers. I know it'll look better on a bigger set but thats not an option at least not at this present time. I am however dead set on a 1080p set. I'm going to drop from the LED ones and just go with the regular unless thats a mistake. The ones i posted are around the price point i'm aiming for. I'm really leaning towards that bravia. WHat are your thoughts on it?

We have a 32" Sony Bravia in our bedroom. Ours is a 720P @ 120hz and it looks extremely good with games, TV, and movies. We have a 70" Sony in the living room, 1080P @ 60hz and I don't really notice a difference between the 60hz and 120hz with any games or movies.

ya thats it, for some reason linking it doesnt work. It's the Sony - BRAVIA 32" Class / 1080p / 120Hz / LCD HDTV.

Looks good from the page and i've always had good sony products. Loved my CRT wega set i've had.

In my honest opinion- its probably one of the best LCD TV you can get at the 32 inch size, and yeah sony is known for their quality- but thats also why the price might be a bit higher then others within the same range

1080p on a 32" screen is pointless. Your eyes can't see the difference between 720p and 1080p at that size. Spending the extra money on 1080p is pure waste.
