Need Reccomendations

CAGiversary!
I am just looking for some insight on what I should ask for Christmas. I've been deciding between two-three things.

1. Ask for a PS3 plus some games+accessories

2. Get more Wii stuff plus other things

3. Get a new Computer

Which one seems like a wiser choice? I mean I could just really make a console epic, or finally complete my next gen console collection, or get a thing i use for various things.

Well like i said just looking for some insight on what you guys believe is a wiser choice.

What do you really need?

I would personally get a PC BUT it depends on how much you are going to be able to spend

Well I am still deciding, but don't feel that getting a new computer is really necessary. I would love to play with others locally, so a console is a must for me. I do have a PC already, with temporary sharing of family members.

I may just go with getting more Wii games/remotes, etc. Or just getting a PS3 plus some games, and a controller or two.

I still have a bit of time, but since black friday is coming it up, it may be worth getting my list done now.

If I do decide on getting a computer, could you guys tell me a good comp for under 1000 dollars? I don't want to build one, but just want one already well built.

Skip the Wii accessories and get a PS3 since you seem set on gaming. I can't see why you'd want accessories for the Wii anyway. Mine's been gathering dust ever since Brawl. :/

I mean controllers. lol. I really could care less for an accessory that looks like a pistol ( i do have one, but I didn't buy it).

I probably will just get a PS3, could you reccomend me any games? Any genre works just not so much into horror themed games.

Metal Gear Solid 4 (Even if you haven't played the others, this is worthy of a purchase. I only played MGS3, but I still loved this. I'd suggest reading through a plot summary on GameFAQs or something before playing this, though. Really, this game is incredibly amazing. You can't go wrong with it.)

Resistance 2 (Your standard FPS. If you're into that, you'll be into this. Multiplayer is the focus here, specifically co-op multiplayer.)

Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm (The single player sucks, and it's unfortunate you have to play it to unlock other characters, but the (local only) multiplayer will last you a long time. It's a fighter, but it's very accessible to others. The learning curve is slightly higher than Brawl's, but the game as a whole is much more polished than Brawl. I hated Soul Calibur/Virtua Fighter/Tekken/etc. but I loved this game, and my friend who never watched the anime loves to play multiplayer. The graphics will blow you away. Might wanna wait for a price drop or something if you're not that big a fan of Naruto... pick up the demo when you get your PS3 to see how the fighting system is, keeping in mind there's a lot more depth with more characters and moves available.)

Valkyria Chronicles (I haven't picked this up yet because my backlog of RPGs is quite high, but from what I've heard this is a beautiful and innovative Strategy RPG. )

If you get Naruto/Resistance, I would suggest that you pick up a second controller. Especially for Naruto. They're hella expensive, so you might wanna try to buy a used one. I picked up a used Sixaxis for $20. So you could probably get one for $20-$30.

I may check out Valkyria Chronicles, and maybe Resistance 2. I was thinking of getting Little Big Planet since me and my brother love to create custom things, and then I was thinking of possibly Soul Calibur 4 for some fighting action, but I don't know about that one.

:p I'm still deciding between PS3 and Wii I don't know why, I just am for some reason. I can't even get anything for the 360 anymore, because if it Red Rings then that's it. Waste of christmas gifts and a waste of time. If I get Wii games I can get a lot, and if I get a PS3 I probably can get a few.

Ahh Christmas the time of when things go crazy, merryment, then taxes.... DUN DUN DUN
