So NoLimitSoldier99 and I conducted a trade where the tracking info lists the package was delivered (Priority Mail) but NoLimitSoldier99 never found it at his door. We need some advice on next steps.

What options do we have with the post office, or does anyone have any advice that NoLimitSoldier99 can do to find his package? I know the chances are slim but any advice would be helpful.

did this just happen today? if so wait until tomorrow and see, because i have had stuff come to me once or twice where the tracking says it was delivered, and i was wondering what the hell was going on because i watch my mail run just about every day, and it never got delivered. but sure enough the package came the following day

I've had that happen a few times, it usually comes the following day as crzyjoeguy stated. If it doesn't I don't think priority is guaranteed or anything so I don't think there's anything you can do.

This has happened to me. I was tracking a package daily until one day it said it was delivered, but i had not received the package so I called em up and they told me there was nothing they could do since they had their proof that the package was delivered.

So what ended up happening was that it was delivered to a next door neighbor. Fortunately for me they were good, honest people and didn't steal it.So I'd suggest to tell Nolimit to ask his neighbors and hope their not thieves.

on this note, just the other day i had ups deliver a big package to me the other day. funny thing is the numbers in my address are 141, the package was supposed to go to 113 (same street). so i just walked it down the street. but that is another possibility

The package shows it as getting there December 3rd, he just notified me of this on Monday so the trail is getting cold. So at this point he should start contacting neighbors?

he could, but at this point i doubt it would do any good. if their neighbor was going to give the package back, they most likely would have done so already. i really have no advice for you. there are just too many things that could have happened. it looks like someone will wind up on the downside here, unfortunately.

Chalk one up for the awesome US Postal Service.

Like people have said, it's likely at someone elses house. I know our mailmen constantly mixes up packages with my address (1418 NORTH ST.) and the people at 1418 SOUTH ST. It's ridiculously irritating. If it were a neighbor and they were honest, they'd have delivered it already. However, if you're like me and have someone with the same house number, yet they live on a different street on the mailmans route, maybe it got delivered there and they just gave it back to the post office.

If neither of those are the case, then he appears to be SOL unfortunately.

We've received mail from our old neighborhood(which is nowhere near where we live now)before, as well as mail from neighbors either up or down the street or one street up or down from us but the same address number before.

I've also had the 'delivered' notification come up on packages in times past, then received them the next day. It happens.

However, since it's been marked as delivered since the 3rd of this month, I would say that unfortunately you guys are SOL at this point.

I know that whenever I send a package out anymore, I'm tracking it from the moment it leaves my hands till when it's delivered and then I tend to PM the other person a bunch to make sure they got it.

I had a scare recently when I sent out two games to two different areas(TN and MA) and the package going to TN got there before the one I sent to MA, which proceeded to play ring around the fuckin' rosie in the Boston, MA post office getting sorted and scanned FOUR TIMES.

I live in PA, so the package going to MA should've logically taken a shorter time period to get there than the one going to TN.

Then again, this is the fuckin' post office we're talking about here. The same post office that bounced a guide package from here all the way down to either North or South Carolina, when it was only being delivered to an address in VA.

I've had my mail delivered to neighbors with similar addresses before. My mail (1056 Orange St.) gets delivered one block over (to 1056 Pine St.) all the time. Check with neighbors.

USPS can do some funny stuff and probably more so if your sending cheaper (Media Mail as in the example I'm going to give you). I sent a package to a guy I used to buy from at the flea market, he lives in Wysox PA and for some reason instead of heading north towards him it went down to Philadelphia on the way to him. They probably have some odd reason for doing so when it comes out to sorting mail out.

My two packages I sent out were first class in bubble mailers. I can understand first class mail taking maybe a day or two extra with the holiday mail volume now, but 11+ days to go from PA to MA.

Mind you, that was nowhere near as frustrating as seeing the package going to VA that made it to NC or so.

In my example the package didn't take a long time. That is way over the top for 1st Class considering it's nearly as fast as priority and sometimes just as fast.
